They are in big numbers and just noticed a web:badday:

Didn't see them coming and a few days ago... i looked under the lens and they were everywhere!

WHAT SHOULD I DO?
HARVEST?
CUT THE MOST INFECTED LEAFS?

harvest and then rinse the buds in a sink of cold but not freezing water to remove mites and eggs, good luck i hate the borg and have had to deal with them too many times

I would spray them with Azatrol, 60 ml per gallon, and a wetting agent like Coco Wet, or even a few drops of dish soap if you don't have Coco Wet. Do this again in 3 more days, then hit them with water a couple times in your last week. Totally soak them with the Azatrol, under the leaves, on top of the leaves. Do this when the lights go off or you will fry your plants!
Spider Mites hate humidity and they breed a lot faster when it's hot, so try and keep your temps down and your humidity up for the rest of the crop.
Azatrol is "Food Safe" and OMRI Listed.

azamax may be able to wipe them out enough to cut down on the actual number of mites.....

the webbing is there for good unless it is removed by hand (crazy tedious)

if appearance is an issue you can use qtips to "wrangle" the webbing by kind of spinning the head of the qtip around the webbing to and kinda "reel" it in. The webbing will be easier to see if it is sprayed with a very fine mist or if they develop a "dew" on them in the morning.

like mentioned before.

after harvest just completely bomb the room, wipe out any mites that are living in there so that they can't re-colonize.

good luck!

neem and wait it out, when you cut, they will all run to the open stem at the top if u hang em upside down.

I have heard of people using a shop vac to keep the problem under control. I haven't used it myself but that what i would do if it happened to me again. better than spraying you buds with chemical or chopping your stuff early

A $7 hotshot no pest strip from home depot will kill them all within a day, but it's a good idea to leave it in for a few extra days anyway, with ventilation off of course. I stand by it as the both the cheapest, easiest, and most effective solution to mites, especially in this case when time is crucial. Sprays will fuck up the flavor from what I've read but the no pest strip is very uninvasive. Some people talk smack about it due to it being a chemical and known carcinogen, but for the most part lots of people use it. Neem is natural but is well known to fuck up taste, stress plants, and not be fully effective.

A large box of lady bugs.

mmmmmm ladybug turds - kinda like lil bitty mushies - only not.

On the bright side, I bet this won't happen to you again. At least the major outbreak.

Back when,,, I used to use No Pest Strips.
They are effective on Spidermites within 48 hrs.
They need to be re-applied often enough to kill the hatchlings or it starts all over.

They are also a nero-toxin.

Now - The effective ingreedient has a half life of 3 days - in low humidity. Even shorter in higher humidity - so effectivly after a couple weeks on a plant and add more for drying,,,, - some people think it's safe. If we look a the half life and figgure 3 weeks of 80% humidity (at the plant surface) The active ingreedient has degraded to less than 1% --- just a lil flavoring.
I look at them as a tool - a good craftsman knows about tools and which ones work for him.

Rez has a rather convincing thread in his breeder forums, with a little different - and informed spin.

I agree, Use a No-Pest Strip. with No ventilation and the room sealed at night and low-ventilation during the day. They should be gone within 3-4 days depending how big the infestation is. Its cases like these where NPS comes in handy.

Id lightly rinse my plants off after with room tempurature water to get rid of any spider mite carcasses and eggs. Not to mention, any chemical residue, if there is any. :) Then you should be good to go.

How did you manage to contract them in the last weeks?

How are your climate conditions, cold temps at night? If you can get them to low 60's you can help eliminate the spread.

try watering them down now with a water spray, or dunk them in some h20... if not, then harvest and rinse in water... i would avoid any chems or neem as it may affect the smoke..just use gods natural water

truthfully ive smoked spider mites... they are quite tasty ..

dont freak out man.. atleast you made it to the last 2 weeks... live n learn
