Here's my OG kush S1 grow.
I've been a fan of OG kush for a while but tired of paying ridiculous prices for it. Didn't want to pay ridiculous amounts for a clone either, so I decided to give these beans a try.
I popped 3 beans, got 1 male, 1 shitty female, and 1 seemingly perfect female with very fast growth, nice leaves, and great root development. When I rubbed the stem I got an intense kush smell so I knew this one had to be something special. I ended up keeping her as my mommy and took two clones to flower off her.
Plant characteristics:
This is a very fast growing plant, starting out with indica lookin leaves then as you hit flowering they seem to turn sativa and get very thin. Root growth is phenomenally fast and bushy. This strain seems very resistant to root rot, as I haven't taken any precautions this grow except H202 and I have noticed no problems. So far EXTREMELY easy to grow....I have had no problems at all with nutrients or PH problems. I keep the PPM around 600-700, PH around 5.8 and the girls have no complaints whatsoever. Healthy dark green foliage.
One complaint I do have is the height of this strain. Easily the tallest plants I've ever had...
I flowered them at 1 foot, and they are now easily over 5 feet tall. My light is practically raised to the ceiling and they are still growin vertically, albeit not as fast.
As for the buds, hard to tell what to expect this early on. Not the strongest smelling strain I've grown at this stage...but the smell is very unique and VERY pleasing, best I can describe is a lemony kush smell. The resin just keeps packin on daily and I can say this is easily one of the most resinous strains I have grown. I've heard low yield can be a problem with OG kush, but it doesn't look like I'm going to have to worry too much about that.
