OG 18

I recently cracked a free OG 18, Reserva Privada, and made a few clones. I was searching for a replacement for my original Reserva Privada's OG.

The mother from the free seed was good, but basically OG plus more yield. That solved the main issue I had with the original, so I was tentatively sold, but wanted to grow out another clone to see.

Well, 7 weeks into flower, this is what she looks like:

Doesn't look like a big yielder, but I can pack them in close together on the next go round. The buds have been rock hard, and sticky as all get out since week 4. And, as an added benefit, she seems to do like the original OG, the clones finish in 8 weeks or less!!!

Enjoy!

A little about the grow, it's perpetual, shallow water in 5x5 PVC fence posts. This is a conversion from 5 gallon bubble buckets. Basically, the posts are 3" off the ground, and the level control bucket keep the water/nutrient level at about 6". The posts are 8' long, with 3 air stones per post. Most of the plants level off at 2.5'-3.5', to keep the canopy somewhat level. But OG 18 wasn't really bendable, so I let her go tall.

The room is 10x10, with 4 600w hps, and 4 120w LEDs. Currently growing GH Super Lemon Haze, Chem Dawg, Himalayan Gold, Kalashnikova, Paradise Seeds Delahaze, and Dinafem Super Silver Haze.

The best part symbiote420 is there's like no leaves on her. It may take me 5 minutes to clean up the buds on her when she comes out next week.

Of course the downside of that is there's less trim to make oil with ;)

18 is definitely a step up from Reserve's original OG, and like I mentioned, she's at 7 weeks, and her trichomes are already turning. My last OG cloned Reserve Privada would finish in 7 weeks.

thanks!

Nice chunky tops. You are spot on about og18 characteristics. Definitely a fast plant. I'm on my second run with og18 hoping to push yield higher, but I don't think the genetics are there for it. I do love the way it grows (and smokes) though. Like you said, it's very easy to manage.

btw, go easier on the feeding!

Thanks I'll do that. Still trying to dial in the rails...

I just finished growing a freebie seed of this a nd mine looked just like yours in those pics... The only problem was that I was having some really bad heat problems and the whole grow was basically at 85 to 90s... Also a small mite infestation too... She came out with a sour taste witch was pretty good. The buds were really airy because of the heat stress... Wish I could do her right again but I lost her... By the way yours oops like some fire...

That sucked cause she is fire. At least her mom was and she has that great sour fuel smell.

They have a purple version I was looking at. Might be the ticket to run in the winter. I deal with heat too 80-90 all summer.

Thanks!

Looks good! This place called "Nursery Farms" in NorCal grows Tahoe OG and OG #18 and their OG #18 is a favorite of mine. I like the Tahoe more for help with sleep (straight knocks me out), but the OG 18 is great for everything else.
