Background: I grew this odyssey as part of my first grow, which just completed. I obtained the cutting from SR-71, a medical marijuana club in Oakland with a sterling reputation for it's clones. Odyssey was a vigorous grower in both veg and bloom, giving me a yield of 73 grams under 600 watts. The smell during bloom was of overripe mangos
Genetics: Unknown. It is a hybrid and has been around in the bay area for years
Appearance: Nicely coated with crystals. Soft yet compact bud formation (7.5/10)
Smell: It's hard to describe the smell, as nothing really smells like it. It's pungently sweet and smells somewhat of fruit..(8/10)
Mindstate at time of smoke: It's late at night and i'm looking to unwind. My nerves are still tense after an incredibly exciting warriors overtime victory over the spurs. I've been feeling spacey lately and sort of tired, a result of my anxiety issues.
Report: I pack a nice sized pipe bowl to the brim with my organic creation. I'm a bit jittery as i haven't smoked in a few days. I take my first toke and the smoke is incredibly smooth and tasty, after curing for around a week. Taste is excellent (8.5/10). I feel the first stirrings of the high almost instantly. I'm going to pause before i take my next toke to get a feeling of how potent this herb is. My eyes are a bit droopy and i can feel a wonderful energy from this herb. I sit and stare at my desk under the influence of a light high. My next hit is just as smooth as the first, and theres no need for me to cough. Now i'm starting to really feel the effects of this herb as i notice a change in my perception of my surroundings. I also notice the coldness of my open window and begin to shiver. After my next toke I am pleasantly high and quite into my experience. The next two hits finish the bowl brings and me to my limit for tonight. i havnt smoked in days and I will take no more as this is predominately a sativa and i do have anxiety issues, although this high does not seem racy at all. With a bowl or joint of this stuff and you're experiencing a nice, uplifting and happy high. Not as jarring or potent as my AK, but definitely would make a great social smoke. Potency is 7.5/10, while i will give the character of the high a 8.5/10
