Odyssey and Bubba Kush Questions (pics inside)

Sup everybody. Got a few questions about some Odyssey and Bubba clones i have from the club. I hope anybody who has grown either one can help me out. First the Odyssey questions. I'm about 2 weeks in veg now and most plants are about a foot tall.





This strain is a nice stout bush and i hope it only doubles in flower. Ive heard conflicting stories about everything about this plant from the flower times to the quality to the yeild. I really wanna flip these to 12/12 now so any info on the stretch, feeding, yeild, and quality would be nice. Also for some reason this clone has curled up leaves here and there but the plant looks healthy as hell.





Aside from what i believe to be a slight PH issue (red stems on certain fan leaves usually mean the ph in the rootzone is slightly acidic) things look fine. My ec is 2.0 and my Ph is 6.5 so things are just about perfect. Are the curling leaves normal with this strain? If not should i flush em with water for a day or so?

As far as the Bubba is concerned i'd just like to know if my cut is the real deal. The pics are kinda blurry but my leaves are real dark green and waxy looking. I'm not overfeeding at all (ph 6.4 - ec 1.5). Plant looks real healthy and is sorta slow in veg. I was expecting worse but after growing that med club GDP cut this cut is looking fast. Any help would be appreciated. Here's the pics:

I have seen Kush with red stems not a PH problem.Kush is most excellent , can be a little stubborn to start flowering. I had to lower temp with the 12 /12. Huge Kolas in 12 to 16 weeks. I harvested a little early on first grow but add alot of bud in finishing full term. Peace

The Bubba you have looks like real Bubba. But then again they could be S-1's. From what I've heard, the clubs only have S-1's of OG and Bubba Kush. You'de have to probably wait for the final product to know for sure. But from the 2 pics you have provided, I would say that they are Bubba. Bubba has a very distinct looking leaf. Your description is right on.

cool thanks for the reply on the Kush. I still dont have my official cutting from a friend so i just grabbed this one up for a test run. When i heard that og and bubba was at the clubs, my first thoughts were 1) They're fake 2) They're S1's at best. I figured buying one clone wouldn't be too bad...

Your Bubba looks identical to the Bubba that I got from the club. It's for sure Bubba...the stem smell and growth patterns are a dead giveaway...but if it's the pre-2K1 Bubba? I doubt it.

I asked them if it was authentic...made sure he knew where it came from and I told him about S1's...he was aware and assured me it was the real deal. They only had one left in a tray with a bunch of widow so I snagged it.

Mine's on 2nd week of flower already gettin mad resin and smellin up a storm...so it looks like somethin good. I've got my OGS1 runnin' right next to it...looks a lot more sativa and a little slower to flower.

its very likely that what you have isnt the pre2k1 bubba which is actually what commercial growers DONT want..

you want the purple bubba whic is an S1 selection that is pretty much af ucking copy of the pre2k1 cut that is going around however it is done faster, grows better, totally colors up, and yields more...teh quality is supposed to be equal too only pro smokers are supposed to be able to tell a difference

ive smoked the purple bubba and the real pre2k1 bubba....imho the differences in smoke are obvious but it also has a lot to do with the samples of each...the pre2k1 bubba samples were from probably the best indoor grower i know, and the purple bubba samps werent from the same person...

HH the line of telling the difference is very fine, but if you know what to look for its as clear as light and day.

I agree with Ogstradamus. Yours looks like what is going as bubba now days but not the old bubba.This is the pre-2001 cut. I have found that the "golf-ball" colas are a dead give away. Do a search of this site of Bubba kush or look at the link in my sign for more pics. Good luck with your grow.

Damn my email didn't say i had any replies. Thanks for all the info fellas. I never heard about the pre 2001 bubba til Elkslayer posted the picture of it. I'd like to get my hands on some of these Kush strains one day. I dont really have the space but i will soon

I'm thinking of flowering my little Bubba clone. Hows the stretch?

I guess what schrooomy420's saying is that there is hardly any stretch S4vvy.

My Bubba Kush S1's are in the 2nd week of flower right now and from what I'm seeing, there's hardly any stretch, same as in veg... quite slow growth. In the following weeks I'll check if stretch takes over. I don't know how this compares to the real clone but from the pictures I see my plants do look similar.

Hmm. Not much stetch. Thats a little disappointing. If the plant is slow in veg but springs up during flower i can work with that. But slow veg and very little stretch...

Regardless i only have one so it's not a big deal
