odor / smoke control

hello all, dont know where to post this but i was thinking that i wanted to make a fan & carbon filter system just for when i smoke in my room & dont want neighbors or LL to notice, im thinking about just the fan & filter sitting on a side table or something (no ducting just an open window sometimes) but don't know what cfm ratings ( & filter size accordingly) to use? should i just use the same calculations that growers use, ( but i think that's too much for just a few sessions every couple of days) anyone have any input?
thanks!

(I've seen this somewhere before but didn't know ask the people any questions)

Hello.
I wouldn't know the exact answer to that, but I suggest a look in the grow room design section, and possibly the security section as there are lots of threads about odour control/filters.
Good luck

I bought a compact air purifier with hepa filter and ionizer for under a hundred bucks on Amazon. Works great and collects a ton of dust as a bonus!

I bet there is a DIY project on building a filter on this site.

A grow room design system goes along with what ever the Carbon filter is rated say 120cfm..so you would need to find a fan that pulls 80-100 cfm and connect it together and blow up clear air and leave it on..Be suprised how fresh a room be.

You can have 2 cans of 120cfm and that would be 240 cfm...Find a fan with 3 speeds and pulling air around 200cfm through the filters.I give about 30-50cfm added insurance so one doesn't blow out the carbons.
