well Im growing in an unfinished basement and right above my flower room is my front door and living room......I installed a carbon scrubber but it doesnt seem to be working effienctly......because the room is not sealed up....its just plants then floorboards then some old insulation.....my question is what would be the easist way to seal the room up???....frame it out then put up plywood then seal all cracks with calk?...Im not to handy when it comes to home projects...and this will be my second grow so Im slowly learning...

First, let's put the basement back under the front door and living room, works better that way. Then find the hole in the floor, or crack that is letting the odor upstairs, you can use a cigar or pipe in the room below, then have some bitch follow her nose and find the leaks, any bitch will do this functon, dispose of the bitch afterwards. Or you can just duct tape a new plastic sheet ceiling up. Have fun.

If you patch the leaks first, and if your carbon scrubber is working, and it is large enough for the cubic air equation, it just might.

is the scrubber just sitting in the middle of the room or is it actively exausting the clean air?

drywall the cieling and finish (with drywall compound) use a high quality caulking to bond cieling to concrete wall. seal the whole room in 4 mil plastic to the floor and seal there too. should help greatly I hope.

I've the same situation as you. Frame up the area the size you want ( mine is 15'x 12')
Then line it with white plastic 6 mil. using a stapler, overlap it by 4'' or so then you can buy a 3m glue product (aerosol can)that you can seal you seams with. You have to do your ceilings as well of course. Allow a gap to let fresh air in. Mine is a large gap at the bottem of my door and exhaust your scrubber.
I found this to be relatively cheap
