Odor eliminating bulbs

Anyone used these odor eliminating cfl bulbs? Am wondering how they would work in a 400w hps closet gro w/ 2-4 plants? http://the-gadgeteer.com/2004/07/02/fresh_odor_eliminating_light_bulbs_review/

I've seen them in the store but I've always questioned them.

they're coated in titanium dioxide which has been used for lots of things. in silica form in catl itter for odor for one... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanium_dioxide#Other_applications

I suppose I won't call bs til i've tried it myself, it guess it's possible.

I bought two of them and honestly I can't tell if they work or not. In other words, the plants still smell. I have them mounted to my hood on a mover. What I think would be better is if you bought these and placed them in sockets throughout the house.

These work really well..It does not leave any type of odor in the room..takes about 20min or so to work

I might pick up a few and replace my regular household CFL lighting with them and add the regular CFLs to my grow I don't mind if the back room smells like ganja but when the smell is in the rest of the house it can be a problem. I'm all for them if they can kill odor and they're cheap enough that it'd be stupid not to at least test them out.

I definitely wouldn't put them in your flower chamber. Other room lights are a great spot.

It's essentially an ionizer and will neutralize various things, including active cannabinoids on your plants. (with enough exposure)

In my experience, they work. I would call them odor reducing, rather than odor eliminating.
