its not the soil...its probably the water you used. Even if its plain water did you PH test it? that would be my guess, the ph is off, because OF should deliver enough noots for babies to be very green with just clean water.

I concurr, its your PPM's straight out of tap. They could be really high in cal/mg... but who really knows. FF OC is a very rich, plain soil, perfect for seedlings.
That pH is fine bro, you need to measure your tap PPM/EC. 150 and below is a decent tapwater PPM.
All these seedlings/clones pictured are in FFOF, with added worm castings, lime, and perlite. So it's even a little richer than out of the bag and they did not burn.
If anything they were underfed, as they grew damn fast and wanted N quick under that light.
stretchpup - my hardness stays around 120 ppm... but this is a reading from like 6 months ago... i keep logs of my fish tank water and at that time i tested the tap water, but i don't have anymore test strips at the moment...thanks for the help dude
Kinderfeld - i got some bottled water that is at 6.0 i think im just gonna use that for now... and yea im gonna have to start over... at least i found out the problem before i tried to start my new speed queen and fem NL beans... thanks
Is reverse osmosis the only cure for tap water with a high ppm? thx Its
got to be my problem too.My ph is monitored but plants are still burning in OC. I think its the ppm...
so distilled water would not be good because there is no cal/mag in it? spring water instead? r/o systems are big bucks... i think my water recently went to shit... i had seedlings before in OF with no problem
My veg light is 336 w CFL, plenty of ventilation.temps run between 66-72.I have them on a heating pad cuz of the cool temps.Could this be agaravating them too?THX
i dont like fox farm soils. i had the same problem with it. took my diesels an extra 2 weeks just to get big enough to take clones and pre sex. i use there nutes though.
IMO its more cost effective to spend the $ on a R/0 unit once instead of watering with bottled water, unless you have VERY small plants, or only one or two plants. I got mine off ebay for 65$ and shipping was 30 so total out the door under 100 bux
grizz - i got a seedling now that is 2 weeks old and it looks like its only on day 3 and its in OF... how sad... im throwing everything away and starting over again... this time im going with whatever is cheap for seedlings like miracle grow... they dont need much anyways...
Why dont you guys try Coco fiber for a growing medium. It has no nutrients in it at all so nothing will happen to the seedling unless you give it to them.
Fix your water, purify it, put noots in it(i use fox farm as well), ph the water, then add it to the seedling at low doses until its got more growth id say about 4 nodes then give it full noots in the coco. Im using coco and have switched over from using OF. I love the way the coco lets the roots breathe, its like you have to water it a lot more often because the roots shoot right through the fiber like its hydro or somthing and the plants then drink more and grow faster. And they grow fast! I love coco, its like hydro becasue it has no noots in it, but its forgiving like soil and easier in my opinion. Also watering is much easier, you dont have to dig up the soil when its dry and cracked, the water will soak in faster and it soaks in wherever you pour it evenly and right away!(If that makes sense haha, it just goes right in the coco instead of sitting around on top waiting to soak in...) Happy harvests everyone!
Bubba Kush in coco after only 50 days...the results speak for themselves
