Well somtimes living in paradis takes some inovation and extra work, but it all pays off. Here is one of my elevated gardens that I have covered for hopefully the last time for the season.Having many bogs and swamps close by I keep a bunch in pot big enough to give them water till i can safely put them in the ground without heavy frost worries.

Third one of the day I covered this one is the easiest as I have used it the longest and had the plastic already there as well as some materials.I carried 8 or 10 2x2's in and my trusty dewalt n a sack of screws and a couple rolls of black tape and I can sleep at night...
A look inside

A Iranian Auto cross I made looks nice gonna be done nice n early.one pheno has pink pistols much like the freezeland , A/A.. iranian auto.

Wolf island sativa

Keep ur girls warm...Cheers

hello fellow Canadian, very nice plants u have on the go. Have you grown out the Wolf Island sativa before?? Any first hand knowledge of the strain would be greatly appreciated.
Best of luck in your grow this yr and may all your Buds be huge.

This is my first season trying the wolf island sativa's , so far I like they way they grow and most of the females have started into flower now only one is still veging very lil preflowers showing. It is also the biggest and in the biggest pot so likely why it is veging a lil longer.I have cloned them and they have rooted and are coming along nicely.I will post some WIS pics later on in the finishing stages.Cheers

Thanks so much for the info. Looking forward to some pics. It is flowering already? I did not think it was a auto.

I think the WIS is a semi auto? If i remember right they took the plants and weeded them down to plants that would stay in veg above 20hrs of light.Yes they are in flower I started them early they been outside for 3 weeks.I also think it said they stretch a bit after flower starts.Just transplanted the biggest WIS into a garbage pail pot.She looks wonderful i must say, I am working alot of wonderful strains this season outdoors working every hr of daylight minus the time i come in to eat.Cheers

Well I have run by an old saying for years , pretty much just made it up myself to keep me motivated. "100 under the moon before the first of june"
Well over that by now and the bugs are hungry as all heck..I seen a mosquitoe sucking the blood outta another mosquitoe..not really but FML they were bad today the blackflies when I am hungry i just inhale deep.LOL

Well I was a lil off on the WIS discription so here is a copy n paste from RCMC site
Wolf Island Sativa

This is an F1 that has some variation in the plants. The AFS fathers were all finished flowering outdoors by the solstice. The AFS has lots of Reds/Yellows on the leaves and stalks.

Expect a stretch when flowering starts, the AFS more than doubles its size after it starts to flower. The flowering times can be quite long (up to 90 days) but flowering starts quickly when the plants are between 2-3 months old, so start them mid March, or, start in April for a super early outdoor Sativa harvest. Most plants will not be auto flowering, but very light sensitive, needing 4 hours or less dark period to prevent flowering onset. If you are using clones, most will auto flower when transplanted outdoors. You will need to veg those plants to roughly one half their finishing size before transplanting outdoors.
•Auto Affie (F) X Auto Flowering Sativa (M)
•Outdoor Seeds (April Start, Ending Mid Aug-Sept)
•Outdoor Clones (70-90 Days)
•Indoor (Not Tested and Not Recommended)
•Autoflower
•Regular Seeds
Cheers all

The iranian autoflower is much the same must be the A/A genes. This season as I said earlier i have a pile of new strains but the main stay will be the Iranian auto's with 7 big momma's under the big lights every tray is full and the girls need another trim.Trays finish hardening off and they hit the dirt fast as i can this is the time of the year I love to hate.

Cheers

thx 1madtrapper for tracking down that info. I couldn't remember where I seen that strain. Sounds pretty close to a auto but not quite.

Amazing my friend. Inspiring to say the least. are you living at the sight or did I read that wrong? It really is my dream to do a huge grow and camp out on site. Know lots of guys that travel up north to do just that but also know many of you northern guys come down south so tou can actual harvest some October plants without losing more then half to mold! I guess its a trade off...way more land up there but shittier climate

Also, I have never seen anyone actually pull off a decent harvest this early even when using autos because the sunlight is not intense at all...it seems like you do this every year where you put plants out so early that they start to flower?

Temps at minus 5 and that green house keeps em warm enough? Nuts that you said they have been outside for 3 weeks! I just planted mine yesterday and you know where I am is quite a few degrees warmer during nights. I am excited to show you photos of my plots...they are in much more urban areas than yours!

I wish I could set up a green house like that in the bush...it would attract way to much attention here

I am not camping, out got to much to care for at home but being a trapper I could park my truck anywhere people never think twice about it..and i use my 4wheeler to get me close to where I am goin. Its pretty quite in the bush right now as its hard to breath from the bugs..I sometimes sleep out a night here n there but most time I work all day outside all night caring for the momma's and babes. At -5 all the tomatoes got fried in the grn house the girls were limp for a few days but come back just fine and I had one IAF out in the grnd still grn and growing I tell yha that strain is tough for early season frost snow.
My thing is light sensitive strains not full autos as they dont grow big enough and i find them kinda weak.I clone the heck outta them and then grow em just big enough much like reibsi did.As the strain i am working is likely his.Got the freezelands crosses sexed. Now I have Wolf island sativa pollen/hishrise automix pollen/silver water IAF pollen/and freezeland pollen/and erdpurt pollen, now who's gonna get what...Cheers

Yea I know your not using autos but ya got some plants already flowering and I am just wondering if you have had plants flowering this early in the season before that you harvested in the middle of the summer and if so how did they turn out?

That is awesome that you are a trapper I wish I had an awesome alibi like that to be able to park on the side of the road...accessing the spot is my biggest issue. When I was young and dumb I found many grows just from seeing an empty car parked on the side of the road that seemed out of place...I think 99% of people would just drive rigjt on by without thinking about it but I'm sure there's some kids that are keen around here I do my best to avoid having to park my car anywhere but it really is impossible for me. I park far away from the entrance to the site though

How many crops do you usually get in? Or do u just keep putting out the light sensitive strains until there's no more time? I love the idea of just putting out trays of clones that start to flower right away you could get many harvests that way. I wish I had a pile of light sensitive strains although I do love growing big ass plants over the whole season, I find it is too much stress to plant a shit load at the end of May and have to wait until October to get them in. So much time for things to go wrong...this year I only planted 21 big ass starts and now I have a bunch of seeds starting Soon, not light sensitive strains but they will be under 24 hours of light will start putting them out after june 21s so days are getting shorter going to continute to put out until end of August.

I already got a huge poison ivy rash I feel like a moron. Tell myself every year I wont get it and always do

I plant here till july then go to do corn and such got some monsters in while turk hunting a few weeks ago they gonna be lb'ers..I can get 2 crops per plot off here with the semi auto's.The IAF dont just bud when cloned it still grows and i get easy 2oz plants with bag appeal and stink that will make you stash it outside..I have tried a few full autos but they just dont got the wieght and punch
Cheers

I agree 100% on autos. The potency is weak and conditions need to be perfect (which is impossible in a gorilla grow) for them to be able to yield ok and even then yield is very small. I just planted my 2 IAFs there were just below a foot tall when I put them out and are in some huge holes so I excited to see how they produce.

Good luck this season brother! Cheers

yeah or you could just learn how to grow better.... autos are fine and ive grown many outdoors with very minimum attention.. and had absolutely amazing results

there not as strong as most regular photo period strains but to make the claim the potency is weak is just nonsense..

of course its dependant on the strain of auto you use.. but i will say ive smoked stronger autos than some other crappy outdoor regular..

i dont like to jump into these things being rude and telling someone to learn to grow better but when i read "the potency is weak" i was like wtf.. nah i gotta jump in here.. take care guys...
