NYUrbanfarmer Indoor Hillbilly Soil Grow (pics)

Hey all just wanted to start a thread showing everyone what I've got going on. I have two strains growing now they are SF Kabookie13 Hillbilly Kush which is a cross of RVL Hillbilly haze & Hindu Kush (F) X Reeferman Seeds Early Purple Kush (M) and the second one is Med-Man Silver Skunk BX1. I also have a single Sativa Female that is from bag seed. There are 12 plants in all and I have them under a 2" 4 bulb T5 setup. They're providing 6000k spectrum and 8000 lumen per the specs. They were on a 24/0 cycle but now are on a 12/12 for sexing. I intend to mother one plant from each strain if I can and bloom the rest of the females after sexing.

This was in the beginning.

Now about one month in and on Day 5 of sexing
here's the update pic

What a difference huh. The T5's are certainly working out.
Here's the sativa Female I'm going to bloom. she's already showing her pretty flowers.

I was going to top her but decided against because her flowers were so pretty. But I'm going to try and take a clone from her. She is tall and lanky and definitely showing her Sativa qualities where as the others are short and bushy and are Indica dominant. Any suggestions on trying to take a clone from a blooming female? I heard its unorthodox but monster cloning can make it happen.

Lol, that's how it goes around here sometimes man. We all deal with it. Don't sweat it, though, people will read it and respond eventually. It's been quiet around here lately, in general.

People take cuttings from flowering plants all the time around here. I've also done it, many times, with success 100% of the time. It's no different than rooting vegetative cuts, except they also have to revert back to their vegetative state. But that doesn't stop them from growing roots in the meantime. In my experience, anyway.

Things look good in there, keep it up.

Thanks Man....

Hush thanks for stopping by and leaving a kind word. Your post was reassuring and good advise thank you. Yeah I figured that's how it was sometimes, they'll come around. At least I have something to show and for that I am happy. Hope you will follow along as this grow advances into the later stages.

Thanks again for stopping by. :tiphat:

Hush is right. I have successfully cloned from flowering plants up to the day of harvest. It is not ideal but you have got to work with what you have. I look forward to seeing the progress.

That is a great looking garden you have there NY. Very Healthy looking plants. I wish I had room for a nice sativa. I can't wait to see your buds come in. Seeing you garden makes me want to invest in some T5 lighting. Everything looks great! With all those ladies you should be looking at a much heavier bag in a couple months.

I'd take a cut from each plant, and grow them all out. Sisters aren't all the same. Good luck. -granger

Good to see ya.

Good to see ya.

Whoa dude holy shit that was fast
Hell yeah man they grow quick, but I got the new T5 4-bulb setup now. It's got 4- 6000k bulbs for veg and 4- 3000k for bloom. push 8000 lumen. It makes a huge difference.

I'd take a cut from each plant, and grow them all out. Sisters aren't all the same. Good luck. -granger

Thanks Granger for the advise and for stopping by. We'll see how she handles it. Keep ya posted. :tiphat:
