The smell was very rich and pleasant. The taste was sweet and as Soma would say "Exotic". It was also very easy on the throat, which is one of the main ways I personally like to judge. I have smoked some green that literally was tearing my throat apart every time I inhaled. However NYCD was smooth and confortable to smoke. The look was beautiful, densed buds gleaming with THC (though my picture doesn't show it's true beauty) and sharp orange hairs, altogether make it look rather delicious and eatable (*stops chewing*).
Onto the high; well the NYCD is supposedly Indica dominant, however the smoke delivered a more cerebral high with a sativa kick. There was no doubt the indica was there as I slouched back on my suite almost dreaming, but the sativa constantly pulling through to keep my awake. The more I smoked the more the cerebral high was noticable, but the "Sit down in your chair" indica wouldn't allow it!
Soma is a great breeder, and a trusted source for quality genetics for myself and others for many a year. NYCD has to be upon my top 5 all time cannabis I have had the pleasure of smoking.
Overall Rating: 7-8 / 10
Well now that's gone, back to the Herer! Shucks.
