good...they should let them grow cannabis plants instead and let them suply the world thru decriminalization. that way afghans would make an honest living and not be contributing to the death of millinos of addicts. I say good for them! ih ope we dont see that law pass where they will take out the cannabis fields!!! i also hope one day we can lay down our arms and pick up a spliff and smoke that hash together in peace

50 cents for what looks like 5 grams of amazing hash.... goddamn!! 10 cents a gram

and these guys make $1 a day... I could retire in afganistan right now!

Interesting video. Nice shots of huge fields of weed. Funny, switching from opium poppies to cannabis, who would have thought? 1 dollar sheets of hashish.. yumm..

"cannabis, the herb from which marijuana and hashish are derived."

^^^quoted from the article... marijuana is derived from cannabis? aren't they the same thing? :::scrathes head:::

this is actually great. the herb and the hash will help spread the message. Time will tell.

Also, that would have been fun to get paid for covering that story :headbange

I was sitting at work reading the Sunday Times when I came across this article. I didn't really react to it though. I mean, isn't that the expected outcome? You force farmers to not grow a certain crop, yet give them zero help.. of course they're just going to go to the next best thing. That's a no-brainer. Besides, they've been doing it for generations.

The government seems to only want to stop the growing as long as they get money from other countries as incentive to stop the growing.
