NUTES?

Gonna start my 2nd grow soon, and plan on doing a bit better! Can anyone recommend the proper nutes for each stage?
Would like to spend less, so homemade is cool as well!

FFOF is strong I always advise adding 30% perlite to the soil mix, to reduce those hot soil effects. later in veg ..foilar feed with kelp juice ...add half teaspoon to your pint spray bottle fill with water shake well and spray 2x times per day ...but only in mid to late veg...

later in late bud you will want to look and some fruiting nutes like comfrey tea or other ...but FFOF is a good long term soil that will give you few issues so long as you dilute those hot effects

Try using the Happy Frog or if you can find some Black Gold " Organic " it is the blk/wht/orange bag and best of all it is ORMI certified.

Otherwise goodluck..... :tiphat:

I agree with this^ FFOF is loaded and does runs hot and it can burn your sensitive plants early
( I read synpe said his runoff on FFOF was around 1500-1700ppm) so not good for seedlings ...

instead try & use ''happy frog'' by Fox Farms as others suggested
yea that FFOF will take your plants all the way to flower & beyond if need be... my two cents

if you want to get some nutes anyways def. get your bloom/flower nutes ok to boost your last few weeks to help build them buds...
Anyways, yeah General Hydroponics they are my favorite and my mentor runs GH too
Flora Nova, Maxi bloom, Lucas formula, Kool Bloom... also get Flora Kleen to flush em' when there ready

good luck have fun keep reading threads in the nute forums make up your own mind

I don't use any extra perlite with pro-mix. Never had a problem with them growing too slow. Only growing too fast.

That's always great thing happening, Smokey!

Hoping the same with happen with frostfre. Aren't autos awesome to watch grow?? They change so dramatically in such a short span of time...esp. when budding occurs.

From our own experiences, Fox Farm was a bit too hot from pat content, thus 'cut' it a bit with perlite and/or vermiculite.

Problems with nutrient deficiencies do happen, but usually using an inferior soil mix or not keeping hydro pH/nutes in check. It's a learning curve. Once you have it down....shezahm!!

Indeed. I add powdered dolemite lime, worming castings, blood meal, bone meal, and a combo of bone and blood meal to the soil. I only add these nutes to the transplant soil. I use straight pro-mix for the sprouts. Rarely have to feed the big ladies any n-p-k liquid nutrients. Just cal-mag, carbo load, liquid karma, and silica blast from start to end.

Thanks All, First grow is doing a lot better than I imagined! With all the mistakes I made, they're budding! I don't know how to post a pic with this, but I'm impressed with my girls!
After all, this is my first ever grow!
