Nutes for autos?

I am used to growing photos so I don't really know what to use and when for autos. I usually follow the gh 6/9. Cut the micro around week 5 of flower. should I stick with this but cut the micro earlier due to the short life of autos. I was thinking of going back to botanicare but I have plenty of gh don't want to waste what I have.

I'm sure others will chime in.

With a good organic soil, perlite for airy soil, we don't supplement except for first few weeks of flower (1/2 strength), then back off.

Good luck!!

Use what you have...autos don't need as much. Use 1/2 strength....your plants will tell you if they like it or not.

Newbie mistakes on autos- over fertilizing and over watering. Just keep that in mind.

Hope your auto shines! ;o)

Arid thanks for the quick reply. I am using happy frog soil. I mixed in a little ocean forest to. I was planning on waiting till week 3 to start nutes. I will run them really light. I heard that you need to cut the nitrogen when they start showing flowers. Do you agree with that?

We don't use any nitrogen for veg stage as it is a rapid time for autos growing. Be careful with both HF and OF....together they can tend to get a little "hot" with the peat. Cut it w/ perlite offering roots to breathe.

K I will mix some perlite in the happy frog. It has been a week since they dropped the shells. They are on their 2nd set of leaves. growth seems slow but I am used to clones. Hopefully they take off soon

Autos take a few weeks, then....holy moly, they take off, esp. in flowering stage. Just don't over fertilize, water....you'll do fine!

I use biobizz, all of them except fish mix..and feed them with every watering, on 20/4h...great results!!

So we're 3 and half weeks in. Now they are under 1 600. Nothing is happening. No new growth. I think I fucked myself by not feeding them till week 3 . They are probably destined for the garbage can.

Do not give up on them just yet. Off the top of my head I cant remember my measurements for nutes of the J47 grow, click my link and you can read it. I was worried about slow growth rate and then bang! boom off we go, no stopping them now.

Pics would help. Autos do grow slowly in veg stage (hence no topping, FIM, etc), only LST- then they bust out in flowering at around week 4. At 3 weeks, start looking for pistils.

Be patient.

I am not throwing in the towel, I think I should have started feeding them sooner.I keep wondering how are they supposed to grow with no nutes. I know better plants don't grow without nutes. I will keep at it probably won't yield much but I can still veg some photos in with the autos. At least the next crop will be on point. guess I better order those goji og I wanted.

A Packer-

I am using happy frog soil. I mixed in a little ocean forest to.
Both of those soils have ample micronutrients (in fact I always cut Happy Frog with more perlite, a little sand) to get your plant going without augmentation of added nutrients. The peat content is a bit high and plant can slow down from nutrient burn early as seedlings....my experience. Read where one of the 2 had inconsistent contents, but probably corrected by now.

When you do start to fertilize (I'm guessing you've fertilized), use a weak solution. You don't want to stress the plant with too much.

If light is bright and at proper height, a comfy environment, good soil, watering when soil has dried out on top a few ", and maybe a fan or air flow for a bit....you'll be seeing changes like HereIgrowagain mentioned.

I got no nute burn, the new growth is pale green almost yellow, classic sign of lack of nutrition. I feed Sunday gh 6 and 9 at 50 percent. stems are getting bigger some new growth still really light green. I am watering tonight. probably hit them full stenth like 1.0 ec on the next feed.

Nitrogen def...feed them what you got then see. Quick result....diluted Epsom salts(magnesium sulfate)/water 1:4 ratio (Epsom salt: water).

Adequate drainage?

I think they are coming out of the funk, getting some new growth. still kinda pale going to up the feed next time. I don't feed heavy with photos so I think I can work it out. I should have feed them sooner. I don't know if I will be running autos again. time will tell. I need a reliable crop for head and pocket

Aridbud. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. all of my plants are doing great except 4 are still pretty yellow, the yellow plant's are showing some bunches of small pistils. I hit em with feed at 600 ppms they improved some what. I may have to make a separate mix for the yellow one's. I was thinking I need to up the micro to get more nitrogen, they must be a nitrogen hungry pheno. Sunday is the start of week 6.I am going to feed tonight when I get home from school.
