nutes and fragrance...???

It seems to me that everytime flowering plants get a shot of nutes they give off a stronger fragrance the next day (maybe saying thanks). Has anyone else noticed this or should I lay off the waterpipe for a bit???

cyberjuice,

I would say that would be possible, depending on the way you fertilized...Fragrance is in the genetics, so it's got to be in the plants...I would say that the amount of P and K in the plant at any given time would also determine the amount of fragrance it put out....Keep a sharp "nose" on the process and let us know more....LC

I notice that. When I feed them Fish Emulsion, they smell extremely dank the next day.

Not sure if its the fish or the bud.

I believe the plant has taken up the nutes and is processing them. This leads to a smell given off the plants by a chemical breakdown reation. You are what you eat...lol...don't kiss the girl friend after a big garlic dinner

I have noticed that to but I think it is because after they are watered heavy they seem to sweat a little onto the leaves. I also find that if I dont move them around they dont smell as much......But if they get shooken around a little they stink a lot more.....

Glad to hear its not just me imagining things...
I do try to feed them a really good flowering AN mixture that is high in all the things they love/need.
yes, I have also noticed that when I move a plant it gives off a fragrance...can't imagine it would be a defence mechanism, but you never know...maybe just a welcoming
