nute question

I didn't think you could use chem ferts and organic ferts on the same plant because i thought the chem ferts kill off the beneficial bateria thingys so organic wouldn't be useful due to little to no bacteria? Was i misled on this? This is why i never added blackstrap molasses on my last run. I wanted to but had read that when using chem ferts it would be pointless to add molasses.

Imo the bottles are a waste of money when you can buy GH powdered nutes. I've run entire grows veg and flower with just maxibloom with great results. Get the maxibloom and maxi grow bags for a total of 40 bucks how can you beat that?

Well i only paid like 38 bucks for the 3 bottles so i guess i did beat it lol no but in all seriousness i will give it a go when i run out of these ones for sure

Haha touche, the powder has many many more feedings than bottles just heads up. Bottles your paying for a lot of water, commercial operations buy powder in bulk for said reasons

Not entirely, plants can make use of organic nutrients without beneficial microbes it just takes longer. The beneficial microbes speed up the process of breaking organics down into a form the plants can uptake. It's similar to a mother bird eating food and then regurgitating it into a baby bird's mouth.

So yes a chemical environment won't promote beneficial microbes and therefore organics are less available but the plant can still get something out of it. You are correct in that it's not very practical to add organics to a chemical fert regimen.

Alright coldcanna when I run out of this stuff it will be the next stuff i try although im not a commercial grower but that just means it should be even better for me lol. Hempkat thanks for clearing that up. Now would you say I should even bother with blackstrap molasses or no? If would make a significant difference I'm all for it but if not I'll pass.

I'd pass as there is likely little to no microbial activity in the soilless mix you're using. I sometimes have used chemical nutes and when I do I don't bother with organic additives and to be honest I see very little difference when I do it that way as compared to an organic grow. I do however experience better flavor and aroma with organics which makes me wonder if chemical nutes some how produces less terpenes then organic? Terepenes are what gives marijuana it's smell and flavor, in case you don't know.

Alright well once again you got the info i was looking for hempkat thank you. And ya i knew about terpenes lol. Thank you again for sharing your wisdom

I use FlordaDuo, their updated line from the 3 part that makes it a 2 part. I personally love it, but I've never tried the 3 part after hearing how messy it is. You get a good A/B mix that you can balance your nutes however you want by adding more or less of one in the ratio. It does seem to need a booster in flower to get those huge mega buds, but that's to be expected. I also tried the 1 part DynaGrow and was not that impressed and there were always solids forming in that stuff, thus the ratio of nutrients you were getting would be off.

+1 for GH.

Have u harvested with this brand (floraduo) before, an did u need any boosters or flavor enhancers? I ask cuz i just got some for a soil grow an was wondering if im gonna need anything else.
