nute burn losses?

my plants outdoors were burned, 16-0-0 OGGrow, ill have pictures up tomorow hopefully, sorry. nute is OGGrow, ingrediants; urea, fish protein something, and sea kelp extract.
the bottom half of the plant is only affected, and not every leaf, mainly bottom half fan leaves, but the burn on three plants has burn slitely on the serration and tips of the leaves that are affected, slite curl up or down on tips. but my question, which ive always wondered, is what does nute burn, specifically N burn, do to the plant?
should i only water for quite awhile? does the plant stunt growth for a week or so? is it more serious than i think...?

pretty straight forward question. what are negative effects to plant from burn?

umm, it kills the plant if you keep doing it.

yes it stunts the growth, stalls for a while until the plant recovers.

stop ferting, and you should likely flush the pots well and wait a week or so before you do anything else.

and 16-0-0 isn't ideal anyways you need a more well rounded fert rather than just all N

without pics its hard to tell... it could very well be a potassium or phosphorus deficiency with the feeding program your using. i switched to coco earlier this year, and had some pots outside... and it seems like overdose to me, but my plants were actually feeding lots more than i thought they needed... and they symptoms are like u describe... how much are you feeeding them????

the 16-0-0 is temporary til preflower. i was using age old organics grow, guano co super tea, and sumtimes big bloom. out of age old and dont wanna buy a new bottle. or my grow bud doesnt want to. i should of just bought one, this would of never happened...

hopefully have pics up tomoorw.

im almost positive its burn. we were doing half dose of ageoldorganics. leafs were fine. then we got oggrow leftover from last year, and my friend goes a little overboard, thinking more is better, i knew it was too much but he already poured it in 5 gal buckets, and i didnt wanna start an argument which woulda happened and changed nothing, went well over full dose, full dose for 5 gal would be 75ml, probably got to 110-115 ml :wallbash:, cause he was being sloppy with the measuring shot glass and filling to top for some reason.

Negative effects are root hairs get killed off, toxic build ups in the leaf. there are good pics of N toxicity in the sticky for this forum ( stitch's guide ). Do you know your nutrient strength and what is your feeding regimen / PH?

Edit: woops this thread had 0 posts and I left for like 6 hrs didnt see all the replies

YIKES!!!

First problem - do you know how old it was when you bought it? Could have been near or even past expiration then,

Read the lable "Store in cool dark place"
Heat and sunlight do bad things to some nutes - can't tell ya which - just brings back bad memories of an old bottle of FoxFarms -(with proper storage - nothing bad - just turned the garden crispy gold)

And I can tell you from experience - it can do shit to your plants ya can't fix.

Old nutes are not good - - and it usually takes a little while to troubleshoot - it was a nightmare.

If they been hot and not stored properly,,,:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Just last week - I got out some fish juice to put on the lawn - it has seperated - and I'm thinking that may be another issue I was having - anyway it went into the trash. Only buy 6 months of nutes or less that way if it's been on the shelf for 6 months.....
Last tie I went thru this - I tried to start a manifacture use by date - some have dates now,,, more need to date thier products.

I date all nute bottles when they come in.

good luck - glad they are still growin!

you need to flush, longer you wait the more problems you have

and stop telling/letting your friends fuck up your grow.

Old nutes should be discarded. I buy my european Bio Bizz Bloom 4 or 5 liters at a time. Last winter I pulled out the last bottle and the consistancy had changed. It was kinda lumpy and had a little foam on top. I didn't have time to wait for nutes to come from Europe, so I tried Pura Vida Bloom. The jury is still out, but I'm strongly considering switching to Pura vida since it's locally available and so far seems about as good.

ill be getting rid of that shit. my friend, is equal partner in the grow. pays for nutes, seeds, puts in time, hes a partner in this op.
i need to flush little more. we watered very heavy two days after the burn, which almost could be considered flush. when you have to carry 5 gal buckets from creek to spot, and water 8 plants that are in huggge pots we made, flushing becomes very difficult. but im gonna water HEAVY tomorow, and keep up with water as long as possible. hopefully til flower, then i can start ageoldbloom half dose.
fvck. hate seeing leaves green and burned, looking just unhealthy.

will those leaves recover?
luckily only like 3 main plants are really noticeably affected. others mite have one leave or two, and one or two mite have no signs of burn.

no the leaves won't recover, they will likely die off and fall off, don't cut them off.

generally leaves that are damaged die off with time, mine yellow out and fall off

I guess though technically all the leaves die off with time...
