If ants are in your room or on your plants, you better be looking for other bugs on your plants then. Check undersides of the leaves and check in areas where there are more dense where leaves are more in an area than others.

Ants feed off of aphids poop, it is like honey dew to the ants. They will also tend to them take care of them.

They can also be attracted by other bugs too not just aphids.

You have any white spots on your leaves or tiny bite marks?

nope there just babies tho....and yea theres boxelder bugs but they dont seem to go by the plants either...there like black n orange beetle thngs,,,so idk wat the deal is:fsu: whats the best to get rid of em??n can i jst get it at home depot??

you can use sticky traps near them, they will walk on there and get caught. are they digging down into the soil or walking near them?if they are not messing with your plants and your sure you got no other bugs then I would avoid them.

Like stich said, ants farm aphids; it's best to keep those little f*ckers out.

Your best organic route is to spread diatomaceous earth around the base of the plants (and elsewhere around the room). It will inhibit the travel of crawling insects as long as it does not get wet.
