Looks tight! Excelent work my friend. Best 250 set up - ever. I hope more people will try this type of dished screen technique, it really helps to get the most out of a given space, not to mention light efficiency.
peeps say i should leave it in because it can't do much harm this late, but I am still considering taking the whole plant out because its not that big. hmmm. I killed its clone I had in reserve.
It is one of the purples, the one I labeled "black" on the very left side.
Also I sealed up my veg cab and added a drying rack, no pics because I am to lazy right now
Hey man, I wouldnt worry about the banana, its probably not even viable. Sometimes male flowers like that develop late in flower, but they cant actually pollinate. It looks to me like one of those non-viable male flowers. If it was a fat juicy flower dropping visible pollen, you might pluck it off, but I dont think that little guy is going to do anything.
howzit underground man, big ups on this grow maing!
people underestimate the ability of the 250's. i and i is running dem 250's
too....so next run imma scrog with the clones i take.
irie i,
RAGGA
hi ragga mon, I sent you a reggae question via rep message.
I let them yellow too much. I will hit them with some more nutes because it looks like there are at least a couple weeks left.
Under the shelf of the veg cab I put a little rack I am going to get some more of that plastic grid and make about 3 proper racks that slide in and out and lightproof the compartment. (don't let the size of the cds fool you those are miniature size)
Thanks truecannabliss. I thought I had my strategy all nailed down before I started, but even with a plan it seems that growing involves alot of trial and error.
for fun I added up the power footprint of all my equipment. I rounded up on most wattages.
4" centrifugal 80w 24/7
4" AC 65 cfm muffin 20w 24/7
2 cfls in veg cab 90w 24/7
250 light and ballast 300w 12/12
245 killowatt hours every 30 days
$27 at 11 cents per kwh
$36 at 15c
$54 at 22c
Of course, if you have to run central air conditioning to get rid of the heat the power footprint will at least double (triple?) i think. Winter indoor growing is very affordable.
I have found bananas on one other plant. It is in the same postion as the other herm but opposite. It may be that they are the same pheno that has a late banana tendency (i chose their positions based on height). It may be that there are light leaks (but i am skeptical that minor light leaks cause herms). It may be random chance. It may be that those are the easiest two for me to see so of course I notice nanners on them. I will be able to get a better look whenever I end up harvesting.
I will do a mini harvest soon, probably cut a nice bud or two from each plant
Equipment:
converted dresser 18"x29"x48" LxWxH interior painted white
"270" watt hps agro bulb
cheapo sola 250 watt ballast
4" elicient centrifugal fan with speed control
I'm looking into a centrifugal fan for my own 250 watt cabinet in-the-making. I figure I want something with around 170cfm and I've seen the elicient and fantech fans for sale but am wondering if the installation was difficult because as far as I could find, the Vortex fans are the only ones I've heard to have standard power cords included.
Can you offer me any tips on your experience with the elicient?
I notice the user name that started this thread, posted for the last time on Nov 2006 amd tha is the last you hear of him, i'm starting to think that he got busted and in jail right now?
Probably got busted w/ all them buds, the web cops got him.
the web cops haven't got me yet , my absence has been due to laziness and general procractination. Which is agree is very SHITTY and assholish of me to just dissapear like that, i can't seem to keep a growthread complete ..... Well i started to rebuild/reconfigure all my computers around harvest and I kept on thinking "next week i will have everything 100% secure and THEN i'll get back onto cannabis boards" then it turned into months and I accidentally deleted my harvest pics. Let me apologize again for dissapearing like that!
Jock horror yielded well, probably 50% more than my first try, but was a complete overfert. I think it was overfert combined with underwater in the last 2 weeks that made it so bad. I cut at 75 days and trichs were still mostly clear. The 2 plants that where the most burnt (i think I was confusing some yellowing with burning) had those honeydew drops on them just like the sap secretion link in my sig. I notice that the fucking MG perlite i was using was ferted! can you believe that? I didn't notice before - im sure that contributed to the overfert.
The jock will give you a mean sore throat if you smoke it. Luckily I have been making hash out of it. Hash is really great! I have been putting the chopped up buds into an electric mixer with ice water, then filtering through my metal coffe filter into a bigger bowl then simply siphoning off the water after the trichs sink to the bottom. A few runs I have gotten kind of melty stuff! I figure I am smoking through the harvest about 2 or 3 times faster than if I was just smoking the bud. (which is ok because another harvest is coming down the pipe)
I will try to get some pics up later of my hash and the current project nirvana bubblicous which on day 28 flower and looking and smelling fine. Now to check my pms and read growthreads for several hours, wheres that bong?
