Not Your Average Bagseed Outdoor Grow 2016: LumberJack's Patch

Howzit Going Gentleman :tiphat:

Welcome to my outdoor grow diary for 2016. It's really late in the season here, but I still have about 7 months to get my harvest in.

This is no huge plant huge plot grow diary, it's merely my personal stash and breeding projects that I do every season.

This year's line up so far (may add more to this as the season progresses):

LJJ's Redbeard Haze F1
(Swaziland Heirloom Haze #1 X Rooibaard Heirloom)
Midnight Haze F1
(Swaziland Heirloom Haze #1 X Swaziland Heirloom Haze #2)
Blue 52
(LJJ's Citrus Haze X Nirvana's Blue Mystic)
Bagseed Haze #2
(Fire Bagseed from 2012)
Bagseed Kush #1
(Coffee terp Kush buds I found an abundance of seeds in)
Bagseed Kush #2
(Same Source as above, Similar buds)
Frosted Kush
(Gifted Kush Strain from a Friend)

Medium: 50/50 Coco and Perlite Mix

Nutrients: Greenhouse Co. Powder Feed (I know I'm going to get flames for this, but it's honestly the only stable nutrient solution we have here. I can't do my regular organic mix this season.)

Containers: 4L and 7L Airpots

Water: Mineral Water

Due to security reasons I will be running one or two seeds of each, this season is more of a stability test than a pheno hunt. Any breeding I do will be to lock in the bagseed genetics if they are desirable.

This is my first season using both Airpots and Greenhouse Co. Powder Feed so this will serve as a personal review for these products too.

I look forward to showing you guys some of Africa's and LJJ's Finest in the weeks to come.

Proudly LJJ's
Not Your Average Bagseed #1 Grow

Ljj..I look forword to watching your grow.Good luck ,,Peace<ws>

Thanks for the wishes Brother :tiphat:

Just to make one post, Here is the Update #1:

So I managed to start the germanation process 36 hours ago, and I have had stellar results so far. Midnight Haze, Frosted Kush, Blue 52 and Bagseed Kush #1 AKA Luigi Kush have all shot huuuuge tap roots and have been placed in their Airpots:

The Red Beard Haze and The Second Bagseed Kush will be out in the next 24 hours, but they may just be going into Regular pots or the ground I am still deciding what to do with these.

For me it's usually around September/October but had to push the season back a bit this year.

They are inside out brother, I prefer to use them this way as the air goes directly to the medium and not the rim, as well as reducing the water wastage that comes with air pots. :tiphat:

Makes sense with the pots, they look helluva holey! Where'd you're find them?

I can't plant that early, I just don't have the space.

I purchased them from a local supplier here in SA if you reside here too let me know and I'll pm you the link.

Due to stealth reasons most of my grows are relatively well shaded and plants seem to be healthier this way. I never have a problem with size as I use certain sized pots to keep growth to a certain degree and flowering usually ends in January and May, I tend to get two harvests. Last year I harvested a Critical Jack plant twice having cut her down to a single stem the first time, managed to triple my yield the second run and this happened in a single outdoor season. :tiphat:

Please excuse the lack of updates have been dealing with a personal tragedy and haven't had time to upload and keep you guys updated.

I am busy with a big one now with changes to the line up...

Thanks to a close Brother and Grow Partner For the Opportunity to add these strains to the stable:

9

Reserva Priveda Tangie
World Of Seeds Afghan Kush

I am really hoping for a male out of the Afghan to Cross into Midnight Haze, I have put these beans into germination and will post pics once they break the Soil. Midnight and Afghan would be a pure landrace F1 Hybrid, I have changed my plans back to breeding for the season as I have limited space and time and do not want to lose these genetics when I can utilize them in the future. I also hope to make F1's of Tangie X Afghan. All credit to these Seedbank's for the opportunity to work with these genetics.

I lost A few of the original strains to bad weather (unexpected Hail) Couldn't save them so the new line up is as Follows:

Midnight Haze F1 (Survived)
Luigi Kush (Survived)
RP Tangie
WoS Afghan Kush

I will post Pic updates tomorrow morning once I have sifted through to find the goodies.

Wow It's been a while since I've had a breather. The plans for this season have changed drastically due to security and personal reasons, I have kept this outdoor crop down to one plant.

It is the African Kush:

Side Branch

Top Shot Before Cleaning Her Up

Upskirt for you dirty girls

And Last but not least some "Crippy" Leaves that she throws at random

16iicf9.jpg

The following Traits have been shown from this phenotype:

Strong Thich Stem and Branches (This Multiplied immensely after a single topping with 3 nodes underneath the top.)

Strong Pinesol and Mint Smell From the Stem

Early Pre-flowers (4 Weeks as Pictured above)

Crippy 4 Leaf which I believe is genetic.

Very Good Reaction to Nutrients (Greenhouse Powderfeed)

Alot of Stretch during Veg, I am hoping she has nice colas as these stems can hold weight.

She is definently not a landrace, I believe she may have foreign influence due to the leaf structure and rapid growth.

Prime Bagseed Hybrid Specimen to show you guys the types of plants I encounter with my grows.

I will update this weekly until my indoor is up and running which will see the Strains mentioned above run as mothers and possibly another batch of seeds from the above plant. I have to move my breeding plans indoors as it is safer and our weather has been unpredictable.

Excuse the lack of updates, As I said I have been dealing with some personal things. I will do a review of the Airpots indoors.

All comments and questions welcome.

I would love to be able to try some of your landrace strains. I'm hoping to find access to some true african landrace seeds so that I can come up with my own cross with a good african landrace and perhaps a good haze like neville's haze or Ghost train haze or something like that also would love to do a durban X mallawi..
To be honest I wish I could try all the african landraces Ethiopian,Reunion and others. I would love to get landrace sativas from around the world and do a super sativa mix with maybe an uplifting fast flowering indica to speed up the flowering times of the sativas.

Wish I had the access you have to the african landraces. Good luck with your future crosses I'm sure you will find some killer crosses!
