looked all over the forums and can't seem to quite narrow it down here are some pics i really hope someone can help me thx all if need to know more feel free to ask everything was going fine then leaves started yellowing and spottin and all the small leaves offf bud sites are totally drooping and curlin under help please the leaves that were yellow have fallen off and evrything seems a lil week at least the fan leave stems and they are all darkening somewhat the stems i am referring to from the canopy pics it looks fine when i pull back the leaves u see the problem with the small leaves and the yellowing

Burnt tips is a root problem, too little oxygen.

May not be enough, especially with low ec ferts would get used up fast.

I used to use an ec of 3 or more - you may need more nutes. What is the runoff EC of your soil plants? Go by that if they are healthy -

thx venturaHwy i did have to remove some of the root zone right b4 i threw it in to flower but it bounced back and just in the last 4 days did what its doing now... i flood the 1 bucket that i use a 6 gal res for a flood it 3 times during light cycle... i had pretty much narrowed it down to a K lockout or a cal mag issue but just ned some confirmation.... do the burnt tips that u say are a root prob do they make ur fan leaves turn yellow get the necrotic burns on the leaves and would a lockout of K or cal mag affect root... i used this chart to get of give me an idea http://www.weedfarmer.com/cannabis/troubleshooting_guide.php
i was really leaning toward the K because i have.. yellowing of older leaves, leaves curl under, young leaves wrinkle and curl, necrosis, soft stem and tips dying... so what do u think ventura? well anyones feedback is appreciated thx u and happy smokin.. peace all

Looks like you're using a fert system with too much N for a sativa. Tipburn + downward cupping + overly-dark green leaves + other nutes locked out + sativa-leaning bagseed = you're overfeeding.

yeah i went ahead and flushed with clearex and started nutes fresh at 850 will not let go over 1000 til the flush thx for ur help and the only N that went in was what was in my florablend compost tea... thx again peace all

No superthrive either... ? A lot of people use it and forget to put it on the list because you use SO LITTLE, but it can screw you up with all the Urea.

sorry stinkyattic for taking so long i never realized u responded again thought problem was solved and gave it a week but still the same definately N tox flushing with plain water now for a day then going to start fresh nutes 2 moro does this sound like a good attack? or will the leaves uncurl when it is ready to be reintroduced to nutes or will the curl always be there? thx so much and sorry it took so long... thx

I am having the same problem. My lower leaves look like the ones in the pics. First, the lowest leaves start yellowing all over (some spots have almost a white color), then they develop brownish rust spots all over the leaf. The brown spots then become dry as a bone and the yellow and brown takes over the leaf and it becomes dry. The leaf gets so dry it crumbles, shrinks up and then falls off. This is always occuring on lower fan leafs, and then moves up the plant. The veins do not necessarily remain green, and the yellowing and spotting does NOT start out on the edges of the leaf. The rust brown dead spots start appearing all over the leaf in no particular area. I have searched and searched and cannot determine what my problem is. It looks like manganese deficient, but this is said to be very rare. Maybe nutrient lockout? I have only been feeding lightly, so there shouldn't be a whole bunch of salt buildup.

I am using 5 gal buckets with Fox Farms Happy Frog/Sta-green potting soil with 1 cup per foot of dolomite lime and extra perlite. I am using RO water (but same problem occoured before we had RO water as well.) I am feeding with Pure Blend Pro Grow and Cal-Mag +. I always adjust the Ph before watering. The strain is Dutch Passion Master Kush, but the same problem
occured when using bagseed as well. The plants in the floweing room started doing this first, now the moms in the veg room have started doing this. I am going to flush with RO water, any other suggestions? Please help!!!

Hi Kush, I don't think you need the cal-mag+ the lime you put in the soil should provide plenty of cal an mag. Also, I don't think you have to worry to much about salt build up with PBP ( for soil* ). It's purty much organic and not mineral chelated to salt..... By what yuv posted about the bottom leaves being affected, it sounds like they might be hungry. Keep in mind the food in the soil plays out in 3-4 weeks, maybe even faster in flower. Given the limited info, that's what I think, hope it helps. Good luck! BC
