What is this orange crap developing on my soil? Are you able to see it in the picture? I've never seen or heard of it.

Yeah, this is obviously my first grow. Really, this is just a test plant. Trying to see how well this works without buying any fancy lights or building anything. Thanks for the fast responses.

Next question: Why is my plant so lazy? It looks pretty healthy in my novice opinion.

yep water got allkinda stufff.......looks like trace minerals and simply residually from U'r watering.......U'r....fine.........well maybe water less...i cant hurt......rootz need more air than water.........

ps......try repotting and planting deeper........ASAP.....she needs it......

or get some wooden stakes and prop her UP w/ sticks and twisttiez.......

Is the only light that your plant gets comming from that window? It looks like it is reaching for the light.

a seedling will do better in asmaller pot

also a plastic pot is much better cuz you can lift it up and feel how much water is in it if its light water if its not dont

When I did soil the perlite grew red algea / mold or something when they were overwatered only, if i didnt overwater this didnt happen, your plant got the dope fien' lean bro

I actually just started a second seed in a 7-11 cup as a joke. (2 inches tall already) I was already trying to be careful about the watering thing. Looks like I'll just have to practice.
