Northern Lights (purple candy)

so i took a few pics last night, had a couple chances to run to the store to get batterys but i was more accupied. im giving her about 2 1/2 more weeks.
2 Northern Lights under 160 watts cfls, all organic running bloom plus.

i love the purple tint taking over.

all of them are Northern Lights, i will get some more shoots soon.

hah they have 2 1/2 weeks left, that is when the buds pack on their weght,and it is looking to be 3 + ounces.

I highly doubt your going to pull off that much under 160 watts of cfl's, especially if your only growing one or two plants.

Buds do pack on alot of weight towards the end, but not alot more than normal. They are still very small for their age, no offense. In the last few weeks my plants only usually gain about 30% more bud weight.

Pretty nice buds though, is it nirvanas version? The only purple NL buds i've seen were from nirvana.

I agree, I think he sacrificed yield for lower temps to cause purple..it is best to allow for temps no lower than 65 throughout flowering, and better at 75 for night and day. then during the last 2 weeks you drop them to the 57 minimum for some purple. remember when your buds dry out they will be less than half the size they are now and about 1/3 the wet weight. I wouldn't expect much from 160w CFL anyways. pretty plant though.

^lol... dude you buds look good... i am not sure if the low yield was a mistake or genetics but i am sure things will get better. Good luck.

Northern Lights is by no means a light yeilder, and thats an under statement, so I highly doubt its a genetic issue. His yeild is decent for the wattage he used. Next time go for some HID lighting though (250w minimum), you'll be very happy with the results.

okay, so i forgot to mention, im not going for quanity or mass production, i am planning on moving out soon, so therefore i had to reduce the veg time and flowered them quick, i belive i will get my 3 ounces that i want. and yes this is a nirvana strain, oh yeah i forgot to mention this is kind of a micro grow in a way. the buds reak of dead animals, and are packing on more and more weight everyday, these pics dont not represent the "whole" plant, they are bud shots.
