Northern growers (55°N - 70°N) unite!

I thought I'd create a thread where us northerners can discuss strains and methods that are suited to growing in our special conditions.

As an od grower I come here looking for threads relevant to our hobby but to be honest 99% of the grows here (as interesting as they may be) can teach me very little as most of the grows take place in the US, namely Cali and Colorado where you can grow normal photo period sensitive strains, it's all kush this, chem that.. Also our soil and rain conditions differ radically from the southern ones, and we have access to very different brands of soil and nutrients...

and let's not forget the hassle of converting North American units to the metric system...

So any northern growers here? What are your strain choices for this year?

I'll be growing mostly automatic strains this year along with some Nepalese hybrids. I just started germinating some auto kush x masterlow, amnesia auto, dieselryder, auto cbg and many others. These bigger autos need a bit of an earlier start so I'll try to pop most of 'em during the next three weeks or so.

Those sound like some banging seeds. I'm at Lat 52 in the UK. last year was terrible for rain and my photoperiods didn't finish cos of the dreaded bud rot. Only my auto amnesia managed to pull through.

This year I have some Heisenberg Special (autos) that i got donated. Should be interesting to see how they get on this climate. Waiting on some HFH seeds that should have been here today also! Hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow. Royal Dane is one of the strains, never grown it before. Supposedly perfectly designed for our climate though. Should be promising.
