Well I fucked up and set myself back over a month. I was trying to squeeze a rez change in before bed last night. Well, I forgot to plug the pump back in! :badday:

They went for 20+ without water/nutes. I doubt they will recover, but I plugged it back in anyway.

I'm sick to my stomach at this point. I sure hope the cuttings root that I took 3 days ago so the genetics can live on.

This AK48 was the biggest plant in my room, bigger than the ice clones seen in the 1st pic...

Very Sad Very Frustrating

needless to say he lost SEVERAL grows to things like high resivour temps and the like

IMO aero is amazing but needs constant scrutiny to ensure youget form start to finish

Aero promotes such aggresive growth but as the saying goess live by the sword die by the sword, if shit hits the fan with aero you got a very short window of time to react and correct things

if i was running aero and i wasnt there 24/7 i would have some rudimementary remote monitoring system (temp, power, humidity etc) so if any of the systems fail or a given set of variables changes you can react as soon as it happens

good luck

I had an idea for a failsafe to kick in a battery operated bubbler for DWC....

With some basic electrical skills you could build a relay that is hooked to a car battery and a 12V pump (think marine supply house) so that when the power kicks off, the relay closes and connects the battery to the pump. Instant backup. When the power comes back on, the relay opens, the pump shuts off, and if you had a charger connected, the battery would begin charging for the next failure.

A pump would run for hours with a big deep cycle marine battery.

You need a relay that stays open on the secondary when 110V is running through it's primary contacts and closes it's secondary when the power fails.

Hello all and thanks for the support. It looks like most of the plants are bouncing back. Some foliage has been lost however. The top of my ak48 supa-freak didn't make it so I had to top it. I'm growing it from seed so I didn't want her topped or fim'ed but such is life.

There is very little water (if any) left in the tube when dry so it's a little like russian roulette. This was operator malfunction though, I forgot to plug the pump back in. I was changing the rez before bed and was to tired to be doing it. Lessons learned. :bashhead:

Strange issues. Leaves grow well at first , then begin to curl upwards along the length of the leaf and the tips turn yellow and curl upwards. Eventually, necrosis sets in and the leaf dies and crumbles to the touch. I thought it heat related due to the HPS, but have grown varieties such as C-99 with not such issues and the 99 was closed to the light.
