No Till LOS Indoor Grow Journey

This project began in February 2022, and has been a true labor of love. Due to permanently working from home, and with young kids, I needed an office/mancave where I could guarantee peace and quiet. I also wanted to build my own little compact grow op.

Grow room specs:
Shed is 10x20, with a loft on each side. Ran 60 amps of power, internet, and a 2x mini-splits (one for office, one for grow room)

4x8 Living Soil bed w/ double trellis fittings filled with Build-A-Soil 3.0
2x HLG Scorpion 600w R-Spec
AC Infinity T6 Cloudline
Blumat Blusoak watering

I will continue to update as I go

That exit fan should bigger. That blows air out. Now you need to blow in filtered air to supply the room. And humidity, and heating / cooling. The grow space is a separate area? Should be fed with filtered forced air that is conditioned, from inside the shack, with the tent exhaust going outside, would serve you better than an open grow area in your shack groffice.

I have a lung room with one or two tents in it that run filtered forced air and exhaust to the outside. That is what you will have.

Good luck. Your breathing will increase the CO2 in there.

Here are some more pictures. The entire grow room is ~ 7.5' x 9.5'. I installed a vent in the pocket door, and a separate minisplit just for the grow room.

That vent will gather dust on the outside near the opening, because it is pulling dirty floor air in. I cannot stress how much better off your room will be if you force in filtered air. It is as easy as a fan in a box with a HEPA filter taped over the entrance,, and a duct going from the fan to the room. Except for the filter, the box is sealed. Balance the inlet and exit fans to get the desired airflow. I like a little positive pressure. Use a constant speed setting, not a fan controller, and the sound will just fade away. I use a 6" fan for the inlets. Bigger fans run slower, more quietly.

As long as the heat from the mini split goes outside it is OK.
