No thread about spending bill that (supposedly) effectively legalizes MMJ federally?

I'm pretty shocked there isn't a thread on this. I was hoping for some more objective information about it to see how valid this actually is. I posted a couple of links to the news story itself, the last link is to another site that knocks it down a couple of pegs and attempts to refute some of the points made in those other articles.

Doesn't stop them, only defunds them from spending money from the budget I believe. They can still have other financing I'm sure. It is a step in the right direction but does not muzzle the dog.

I figured as much, but these news outlets are sure making their money with the headlines, no doubt about that...

All the feds have to do is remove cannabis from the list of "schedule 1" drugs and the rest will take care of itself; anything else is for "show". This administration is all about "theater" over "substance".
