No Smoking - Tobacco or anything?

When landlords request no smoking, do they mean just tobacco products, or anything at all? I know tobacco smoke stains fabrics, walls, and ceilings pretty badly, because I've scrubbed the ceilings of a pack-a-day plus smoker.

If there's plenty of ventilation, a clean apartment is kept (no trash laying around, no dirty dishes, etc.) and it doesn't smell like weed, is smoking in the living room once in a while a problem?

Any input is appreciated, I want to see some other people's opinions on this.

Everyone I personally know who smokes does it indoors, in their place, regardless of whether or not their landlord allows them to smoke inside. All of them go outside to smoke cigarettes and stay inside to smoke erbs unless it's warm outside and nobody is around. Depending on where they live, lots of people smoke outside on their porch or in their yard.

When landlord says no smoking they mean tobacco because they wouldn't have to tell you to not do something that's already illegal.
"OH and you can't cook meth in the basement. Only on the back porch."

But seriously or at least sincerely, if you keep the place ventilated don't worry about it.

That's kinda what I figured, I'll most likely smoke in one room, and keep it well ventilated, clean, and smelling nice, so it won't be obvious. We've smoked in here almost once a night for the past week, and it doesn't smell any different than the day we moved in. Thanks for the input everyone!

Watch out if your living room is adjacent to an entrance. Never know when someone is gonna stop by for any unknown reason at all. Usually its somthing along: whoops got your mail, whoops your cat got out etc.

Does marijuana do the same thing as tobacco as in staining? Because I smoke in my room like every day and I honestly haven't noticed any difference. But then again I don't smoke sticks that constantly burn and over a pack. Usually just bowls and a few will get me straight lol.

just set a small fire in the living room, and then put it out the smoke will cloak the room and then nobody will be able to tell the differnce...

Sounds like a good idea, smoke out my living room with some cedar logs and then nobody will notice a little marijuana smell! :bashhead:

Thanks again for the input everyone, so far so good, been smoking almost once a night in the living room and there is no smell when you come into the room. Let's hope it stays that way!

it doesnt stick into fabrics like tobacco does though. I cannot stand the smell of tobacco inside or outside really but cannabis is different unless you smoke joints. Then there is usually a light smell that tends to linger a few days but always goes away. Cigs never go away imo.

haha i dont know if i am stuped of something but me and like 6 other people always smoke in the living room like 4 times a day and we just open the window....

but then agean the apartment always smells like bud
