no fancy soil or nutes available in my area

What would be the best option as far as soil and nutes when there are no specialty grow stores in my area. About the only thing available is stuff like miracle grow and other common brands.

Wal-Mart is your best friend. Use pete moss and perlite mix 2/3 pete 1/3 perlite. Water it every other day and after every 2 waterings get some fertilizer mix it w/ water and water it w/ some food. So basically once a week water it w/ food and then water it w/ spring water as needed. The nutes i use are BC Grow you can order them off the net. If all else fails you can dig up some dirt by a stream or pond mix about 1/3 perlite with it and that should work. More experienced growers might have some better options that they can think of, but the pete/perlite mix works well for me.

order online...

what he said. Get some cheap potting soil and a lot of perlite and make a soil mix and pick out the stick if you can. Use a good organic hydro/soil nute liek fox farm or earth juice and you should be set. Most home depots has black cow manure you can mix that in also.

Check flower shops i've found fox farm soil there before. Call around there must be good soil some where! go dig up a farm if you have to.

good luck and DON'T use miracle grow.

I seriously question your watering suggestion, "every other day"? without regard to over saturation of the the mix and..............

There is a lack of clarity in your post.

Sorry about the lack of clarity. I also put water as needed thats what i should of said in the first place. Usually every other day is what i watered, but i watered moderately and only completely saturated it when giving it the nutes.

Home depot has all you need to grow. Fertilizers- Espoma brand blood, bone meal, lime. Or you can use Espoma prepackaged fertilizers. Potting soil. Compost- mushroom and cow. speciality stores come with speciality prices. Mix up your own mix and save money.

people were growing ganja plants a long time before the shop pimps came into the picture.

sow some seeds into some pots of dirt on the window kid,, and then look see what works.

all the best :D

Grow them just like you were growing tomatos as far as ferts go and always grow organic if possible. Use a quality potting soil and water as needed ferts half strength once a week. After you're comfortable experiment a little and you'll be surprised at your results.

if you csant get ahold of ocean forest, and good quality nutes (soil i could see not being able to order because of the shipping would make it outrageious for one bag) but nutes should be no problem to order cheap hell ive ordered dtuff off the net for cheaper than it would of cost at my local hydro shop.

id go with miricle grow organic choice potting soil and yeah the epsoma stuff old fool mentioned are some pretty good quaility ferts.

but you really cant grow ganja without using Advanced Nutrients 2+ line so if you cant get them id not even bother....no no im just fuckin with you. any nutes will work as long as you give them in moderation, but no miracle grow nutes or soil other than the "organic choice" line of soil from miracle grow.

botanicare would probably be the easy most simple way to go when speaking of which ferts/nutes to use and you could get them off ebay for cheaper than any hydro store would sell them. even at retail they go for 17 bucks for a quart of grow and 17 bucks for a quart of bloom.

grown with botanicare and organic soil "ocean forest" ( less than 2 weeks in flower in these pics)
