NJ MS Patient: Guilty of Growing & Possessing

A New Jersey resident and Multiple Sclerosis patient has been found guilty of growing 17 marijuana plants at his residence. He now faces 5 to 10 years in prison for his actions.

New Jersey has yet to pass a medical marijuana law, so it's unlikely he'll get off unless the governor pardons him.

This highlights the inequities and injustice now prevailing in America regarding medical marijuana. How is it that medical patients, often in desperate need for the one effective drug that alleviates their symptoms, must go to jail for this?

Isn't it time we stopped this cruel and inhumane punishment meted out to seriously ill people? Isn't it time to get Obama to finally come forward and CHANGE the national marijuana laws so these injustices are no longer occurring in some places, while other states allow medical marijuana?

Want JUSTICE for all medical marijuana patients no matter which state they live in? Then LEGALIZE IT!

I know it's a stretch, but hopefully enough pressure can be applied to Corzine before Wilson has to serve a single day in prison.

Corzine is possible; he loves playing God with other people's lives and money but he is heading out the door so he may turn a blind eye to the people he aught be serving.

Absolutely horrible-- This man is doing exactly what he should be doing...dealing with his illness...and might I add...not being a burden on the Public Health System by using the multitude of Pharmaceutical Drugs that it would take to replace his privately grown cannabis--
A true miscarriage of Justice...or a true case of "Just-Us"...depending on how you look at it--:2cents:

Fucking bastards.

You know, if I ever get enough balls to grow, fuck 'em. They can wheel me into prison and pay my way. It would be horrible, but goddamnit if they can sleep at night knowing they put someone with a degenerative medical condition behind bars to rot, then we're all fucked anyway.

i don't wanna sound ignorant but it always amazes me how one law in a certain state can differ to another state.
i'm a UK resident and UK law covers the country the same coast to coast.
is this not possible in USA??
