Nirvana seeds - any true breeding IBL?

Hi Everyone,
First of all I want to say thanks to everyone who post/participates on icmag. This as been a great site and I have learned alot here. I am a pretty new grower and I was interested if anyone knew about Nirvana's strains. Are they all F1/F2? Do you think any are IBL? I was curious about Shiva/Hindu Kush/Afghan and Skunk especially. I was hoping to try my hand at making my own crosses and I have been satisfied with Nirvana's price and quality in the past. (Of course I'll be ordering from either sb or sd as usual!)

but which strains? ......

...... thats my dilema. I want something to cross with some clones that I already have grown out. They are short/squat (stealthy!) just not very potent

so your looking for something the same just more potent. Another short squat plant? Ice is potent. K2 yeilds awsome and is pretty strong. Northern Lights is a good one. Papaya is a 100% Indica strain, stinky andvery dark green. let me see what else I can reccomend.NL x Shiva and Cali Orange bud have been around for many years and should be nice. Bubblicious and Shiva are both really nice.

I have smoked many Kush strain from cali medical clubs and they lack that kick you want in my opinion.

Out of those strains that GPB posted,
Nirvana's K2 is pretty reliable for short growth and potency.
K2 is a sister of White Widow, & they do well when crossed also.

Thanks for the info, Ice was definitely one I was curious about, also the other "white strains" like rhino and widow, has anyone experienced aurora indica? I can't send my order till monday so at least I have a day to think about which ones I want.

Nirvana's genetics have been called into question a few times, but they've never had any accusations stock, to my knowledge.

Nirvana's representative on OG once explained how they produce their strains that are similar to other seedbank's productions. They say that they take exceptional individuals from commercially available strains like Bubblegum, etc, and then insert them into their own breeding program which involves 5 to 6 back crossing generations, until the strain has been worked sufficiently by the Nirvana breeders that they feel it is their plant to reproduce and sell. If this is the case, most of the lines you buy at nirvana should be IBLs to some extent.

Nirvana seeds have always proven well for me. I have grown mabey 6 or 7 of their strains & of those suggested i liked the mango best...called papaya now. Huge yeilds of tasty well balanced smoke. As far as an IBL to breed with i am not sure but that K2 sounds like a good possibility. Best of luck & take care 3ld

I like them all with Ice being my favorite.

.. stay away from the Maroc x Afgani if you want something squat, this one is an outdoor variety..up up and away....
also Big Bud x NL.. not very strong imo.. unlike the White Widow.. which is VERY, but can stretch a bit.
how about the W Rhino..- ive got a couple in myself just now. they are supposed to be nice and short.. and kick ass strong..
On the whole Nirvana seeds are an excellente product for the price ..

I have grown Nirvanas NLxBB, and it cloned easy and was quite vigorous.
It really liked it's Mg, but other than that it was great growth wise.
The high was good and the taste was great.

just because Mau sells his seeds at a great price & Gypsy also doesn't want to follow Mau's suggested retail price doesn't mean ,,that the seeds are F2's or crap or whatever man

when the breeding era started in Holland , everyone basicly shared the same strains ,, like when Sam the Skunk Man let's say ,, started handing out his Skunk creation , he handed out to everybody


but of course some crosses he kept top secret ,, for his own personal gain ,, i imagine ,, i would of

if Mau's strains were more ,, lets say rare ,, then they would probably cost more buck's ,, but Nirvana's are the classics ,, that i personally love the most

some people started laying the bullshit down about Nirvana ,, other's liked the smell & started following ,, you dont like the smell of bull doodoo ,,do ya !!

all breeder's basically breed the same way man , with a few exceptions ,, it is in know one's advantage to sell F2 seeds or whatever .. unless you are a crook ,, which Nirvana are certainly not ...

Mau has been in the biz a long long time & when he says he travelled out to find his IBL's he did ,,

visit the Nirvana site & take at look at the pic gallery ,, nothing but thousands & thousands of beautiful plants

If ur looking for a true breeding strain for doing crosses? Id say Skunk #1, shit just look at all the killer strains that have been created with Skunk#1 in the mix. Or C99 which crosses well and is very stable strain, shit JLP has crossed it with everything but the kitchen sink, and his stuff speaks for itself. Good Luck Man!!

Nirvana's PPP (Pure Power Plant) would be an ideal choice for a breeding program, IMO. It's very stable, and is one of the "white" strains... the buzz is similar to C99. Low odor, and a light "citrusy" taste... kinda like 7-Up or Sprite. It is primarily sativa though, and can get tall if not topped.
