Weed is quite rare in Japan and when you do find it, it's schwag. Usually brickweed shipped in containers from other asian countries. There is very little empty land that is above the waterline or below the treeline. Indoor growing is very difficult due to very small living spaces and very high cost of electricity.
The schwag that is around is insanely expensive. The law there is very very harsh on illegal drugs and the culture there tends to follow the law very well. Shrooms are legal there and are widely consumed.
true dat, but shrooms made illegal 2 years ago, but still used frequently. Absinth is also legal.
lol, "tends to follow the law very well", reminds me of one time I was watching japanese news and there was a big story of how someone's window got broken, like with a brick or something. My japanese is pretty shitty and all I could tell was that it was a HUGE story, like 24-hr coverage of the police investigation... ha ha.. made me laugh for a second, then cry when I remembered where I came from...
i just got back from japan and man o man it is impossible almost to find weed . i mean there ae quite a few stoners out there but talking about weed is very very secretive. shrooms and e were legal up until 2 years ago when a teenager high out of his mind on shrooms ad e tried to swing on powerlines and killed himself since then they made shrooms and e illegal. but the funny thing is they use hemp seed in almost all of there spices its pretty funny...
who knows... maybe japanese weed will give us a samurai type stone.
i bet they are nice and could grow in colder regions...could be nice for breeding imho (new genetics on the market)
It happened so long ago (1980? I think) I can't say. But it really wouldn't have mattered, since he had prior arrests for cannabis, the Japanese later admitted that he was the object of extra attention coming through customs. When he was busted I think he spent like a couple of weeks in jail for a half pound. If it had been you or I we'd still be locked up there.
Here's my suggestion to you. Look for a pen pal site in Japan. Find somebody who is studying English and offer to supply them with American TV shows and help them with their English in exchange for Japanese tv shows. Sent copies to each other. Most people in Japan own HDD recorders like tivos these days.
