I caught a couple excerpts on youtube, and man is that show nuts!!!! I would love to play around on some of those sets.

I am always amazed at what kind of shape the guys are in who can make it close to the end. Even Olympic athletes usually can't finish the third stage. The upper body strength and endurance required to do some of those obstacles is unbelivable.

I would love to have a shot at running it though just for fun.

I've actually thought before that opening something like it in America would be pretty cool, and you could charge a few bucks per run to maintain the course...but I'd be worried someone would get hurt on it would sue me. :(

Plus I think Americans would be annoying when they failed because you know they would be flipping out, it's much more enjoyable when the Japanese stay calm like a true professional.

That show is pretty cool.

However, I prefer watching MXC when it comes to watching Japanese people attempt to complete obstacle courses.
That shit is hilarious.

MXC is indeed fucking hilarious. My favorite one is the maze thing where they're chased by the Kabuki warriors into the swamp. The one with the false doors is pretty funny too. Watching someone run full speed into a wall that they think is a door never gets old.

Ninja Warrior is great! Although I love American Gladiators, Ninja Warrior is way better..and it's not even in English! I love the different obstacles they have to go through. How about when they have to shimmy up a huge tower in less than thirty seconds? That is pretty badass. Great show and great thread, I'm glad other people watch it :D Except I can only watch it via youtube, but oh well.

MXC is a classic! I remember when it first came out. That's just comedy gold right there. Much better than a lot of crap that is on TV now..

Ninja Warrior is awesome. American Gladiators is amusing as well, but I seem to enjoy it much more when I smoke while watching it. MXC is hilarious, smoking or not.

It sucks American Gladiators ended, I was hoping i would eventually get my chance to put Laser in his place.

But I would much rather do the Breakthrough and Conquer with the women, even though they are a little to bulked up....

They still show it on ESPN Classic from time to time.

I feel suffocated by all the mullets when I watch it for too long though -- even the women Gladiators and hosts have them

Oh yeah, they have some good mullets on that one. And cardboard people to fill out the audience.
Yes, ESPN Classic is a must when American Gladiators are on, catch it as often as I can. That theme song is always stuck in my head, always.

You know they still have all that crap on some back lot, I would like to get my hands on some of the old set. "Gotta go work out hon, be back in an hour or two." Cue music...

I especially liked the hand over hand bike pedal bar. Where you had to rotate the pedals while hanging underneath, that always looked like a good workout.
