NGB MICRO BOX

Yeah that's my guess, but its hard to say. I think it's time to upgrade to a Canon Powershot Camera. =) . HP Digicam = Battery Monster. I'll keep an eye out for a closer higher resolution pic tho and i'll give you my .02 on how much longer until harvest time.

Opinion On Ventillation

Opinion On Ventillation

Hey folks - I have this 100CFM Muffin fan and I intend to put it up in the utility room to exhaust all the carbon filtered air and warm utility room air. I'm just trying to decide what would be better though. Put it on the back wall or put it on the same side as the intakes? Give it to me straight guys. I'm open minded. :joint:

Here's the latest contruction on my NGB Cab.

Upgraded the 1" Passive Intake elbows to 2" PVC.
Added first base coat of paint to exterior. < 1 or 2 more coats..>
Added interior coat of sealer/water proofing.
Moved location of Carbon Filter to back to help w/airflow.
Mounted... well ... taped stupidly 2 13" Warm Tube Floros in Mother Chamber
Built a hexagonal reflector thanks to pontiac! Covered the inside with mylar too rather than paint.

Here's pontiac's reflector link:

Hello DP,

I would like to suggest htat you put in some more ducts from the veg to the flower chamber- your airflow is going to bottleneck in the current ducting betweent the two chambers.

I know this from experience.

Just a friendly piece of advice- no intetntions of peeing on yoru project friend.

Minds- Also I was wondering - with your air cooled hood, doesn't that eliminate a lot of your vertical growth space? & How many crops have you done in your NGB?

hey guys nice thread you got going - I was always a big fan of the NGB box as it was the one thread that made me think I could grow for myself.

I wasn't into the making of the cabinet myself but I did use the same basic concepts as NGB - 150 HPS - 134 CFM dayton blower - scrog - hydro

Originally I was going to go for similar multi chamber setup but could never get the veg chamber in there with enough room so I built a separate veg cabinet.

I'm just about to cut my 5th successful crop in this cabinet (out of 6) and owe it all to the NGB thread for turning me on and showing me what can be done. FWIW I pull around 3 oz per crop from this setup which works well for me.

I've seen alot of ventilation questions on the 150 club thread and was wondering what is the general consensus on those using the NGB cab style - did everyone go for the dayton like NGB did?

anyways great thread - I love seeing all the cabinets :D - also nice to see the 150 club represented too

here's a few pics of my setup

Sugabear - I don't know if your having heat issues or not, but if you are I would swap out the bubble foil for some mylar. I Might also reccommend to do something with your wiring. It looks like a fire hazard. Congrats on all the successful crops though. GJ! This was the same cab that inspired me to grow on my own too.

Hello all,

DP, the hood, as you can see is a DIY job. I initially intended to LST and keep my plants small so no it has not been a height limiting problem.

I does indeed do the job well though. I went with the 5/8" ply because I had it lying about but I would have gone with wood or mdf anyway due to the insulation properties.

Inside the hood is a DIY batwig shaped reflector sprayed with high temp titanium white paint.

It has a 3mm tempered glass shield.

The cooling air is drawn from the flower chamber before being filtered and exhausted.

Hope this helps.

PS, well, my next harvest will be my seventh and hopefully my best.

I had issues with noobie grower error stuff along with soil/fert/water/pH/temp/pest issues. My methods were un-honed, to be kind. I am getting better.

Well here they are, 2 pics one of the utility room and the other is a look at the back of the cab. yeah it kind's of sloppy but i was in a rush, nex upgrade will be getting rid of the flos and replaching it with come clfs, might re do the intake as well what ya think Minds would it help if i replace the 3 - 1" holes to 3-2" holes and added anouther 2" hole from the mouther room to the flower room and replace the 2" hole from the flower room to the utility room to a 4" hole.

well i just check my tricks and i found 2 amber in there all most there now.. should i start flushing now or waite a bit more thats the question.

I dont think flushing is really necessary. I never have. Just stop putting nutes in the water is all. How are the pistils coming along? You get those batteries recharged yet? We need a nice big high res photo to zoom in on to take a peek there. A few amber is a good sign.

Here we go. All lights are installed now and the reflector. I think I am going to have heat issues though. I still have to put my muffin fan in the back of the utility room so hopefully that will help.

were did you get them fancy doors bro?!haha looks very nice. is that an inline fan pullin from the carbon filter?!

It only looks that way. If you saw it in person you would see how clean the wireing looks. I still haven't tacked the wire down yet. I'll take another pic of the nearly empty utility room once it's ready.
