I figured mutton would be more plentiful, but it makes sense lamb is easier to sell even though those little baby sheep dont have as much meat.
I wonder if adult sheep are used for meat or just wool? Maybe when the sheep get too old the meat isnt as good, if it's used at all it maybe be heavily processed or even used for pet food.

I love garam masala, should probably buy another bottle of it but it'd take me 10 years to use it.

As far as the wine, ive gone through several bottles of liquor since football season started and im giving my liver and body a break. Think ive gained a few lbs from it and ill sleep better without it.
I was going to ask you, how's the Premiere league season going? Havent paid any attention to it with american football (college and nfl) and now basketball (nba mostly, some college too) has started. So many sports, so little time...

That's a good phrase, Pops, snow is definitely something you drive to, not live in.

LA hosts Philly for SNF, maybe the rams are a jekyll and hyde team, one week they look awful, the next week like they can beat anyone. That means this week they'll be bad; eagles have been firing on all cylinders lately.

Lamb seems like it'd be more popular in Ireland/UK than here, and Superx seems like he has some good local butchers where it's plentiful and relatively cheap. Shepard's pie is supposed to be made with lamb but in the US it's most often made with beef.

All this talk of growing makes me want to grow again, lol, one good harvest would keep me flush for a year or 2, especially if i make edibles.

Maybe Hawk can see if he has a lead water line by checking out the line leading to his water meter, even scratching it with a coin:

I didnt watch most of the game so missed the noise, but i could see how banging on a fence could get annoying after a while. There's a college football team, Miss state, where half the crowd has cowbells that they ring while the opposing team is on defense. I rarely watch them but when i see them on, that noise is distinctive and would probably drive me nuts if i was in the stadium.

Do u think Tyson was pulling some of his punches, Hawk? Someone said it looked like he could have gotten Jake flush in the face a couple times but didnt pull the trigger. Suspicious indeed. My "any knockdown in the 1st 4 rds" bet didnt pay out and it should have...

It might be worth checking out your water line coming into the home, unless the city has confirmed u have a lead water pipe then most of the letters sent out say theyre not sure and you have to check it out. That article i posted gives some tips on how to tell if it's copper steel or lead, if u dont already know how. If ur house is old, i doubt it's copper, but it could be steel.

I think we had this conversation once before but in spite of your ability and toughness, i dont think u stand a chance in a boxing ring with joke paul, Hawk. He's a couple weight classes above you and in way better shape and younger too; maybe in a street fight you could take him.

I hope we dont hear anything from the Paul brothers but if jake fights conor mcgregor next you can be sure it'll be a big event. Personally i want him to fight canelo so he gets exposed as the joke fighter he is.

Being on west coast time is nice for sporting events, everything ends pretty early for u, no staying up till 10-11pm for these primetime nfl games.

It's the third one we have had over the years here. The first one was a cheap little stove that I lined with fire brick. I ran the flue pipe a few feet into the chimney. We bought a Jotul black iron stove next and it was a major improvement until MamaD decided that black iron was unacceptable. LOL That's when the current enameled Jotul came home. I had to have work done on the chimney when the new stove was put in. Liner tiles had cracked from heat so a new flue was put in place and the voids in the chimney were filled with a cementitious fireproof mix.
It is a wood burning stove. There is a timber service a few miles south of us that makes a huge stack of cut and split firewood that is self serve and sold by the cubic foot. A load of wood on my 5' x 10' utility trailer costs about $120 now. That's double the price from when I first started buying there.

Im not sure if Buzz has any home heating other than the wood stove, maybe he does, but i thought the valve issue was his water pump/well water.

We have a heat pump system for heat/AC. The woodstove assists in heating the center of the house. 37.2F/2.8C this morning and Frosty is in the field.

The valve issue was on the well.
Those cowbells will be clanging in The Swamp today, @Bababooey . The Gators chomping is no match.
I hope Indiana at Ohio State goes to the Hoosiers. I doubt that happens.

I hear you on the stove man, I've had to replace the grates twice, there's a cast iron one in there now which I expect to last a few years, we mostly only burn ash or turf on it. The last house due to having no access to timber we tended to burn a lot of coal, grates had to be replaced every summer and the inside shields would buckle as well. 5 X 10 is that half ton weight? No trees come down due to the storm that you could delimb.. I recall you hacking that last tree, must begone to ashes unless your curing it..

im not up to speed withthe college rules but it seems like there a a lot of "bowl" games where you win a nice trophy, but there is an ncaa championship game as well
