Yeah, hi to all who pass by and read this. Many thanks up front for any views or replies. Now this sounds like a simple Q but I am getting nowhere trying to decide which strain I should grow next? I am halfway through my first ever grow and am feeling like I would like to continue with this little pastime I have begun! The sheer numbers of strains that are being grown, however, has left my head spinning. For my first grow I went with a stable strain that I have been familiar with for many a year as a smoker, Skunk #1 from Dutch Passion. Out of a bag of 10 beans I have ended up with 4, decent looking, female plants that have hitherto done what they are supposed to when they are supposed to do it. I may try to grow a couple of clones from the best all round female of the 4 I have but really want to try something a bit more exotic.
I am really considering the 'Orange Bud' from Dutch Passion and will most def give it a whirl sometime. I like the look of the slim plants with few leaves and bud that grows mainly down the main stem. Am I right in thinking these are 'Indicas'?
Back in the day, when growing under artificial lights was in its infancy, I used to get real nice Thai that was a kind of dark gold colour and an amazing aroma. Is gear from that region indica too?
I think that AK48 is a strain I am on about but ain't sure. It would be better for the limitations of my particular grow set up if I had a strain that characteristically grows tall and slim as opposed to one that gives shorter, bushier plants!
The nicest I have ever had (maybe not the strongest, but all round qualities) was many a year ago and, I reckon, came out of the Carribean. I got it off a yardie I used to go check at a pool hall in London round the corner from a front line but he called everything either 'Red Beard' or 'Lambs Breath', even if it was fucking hermied, birds nest bush from Malawi or something. If I could grow something like that (not the hermie birds nest bush-nooooo
) I would be in heaven but ain't really clued up enough to know what to get.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions for my second grow, I would be keen to hear them. Something that isn't too much rocket science but a good, different smoke!
