pontiac, do you mean i should make my bulb go vertical and not horizontal?
also, i think the 449cfm is a strong fan so it should be able to ventilate properly the way im doing it...

curtis...your making things way harder then they have to be...forget having that shelf in there...ditch the shelf...IMHO, you should just build another little cab for mothers...next, ditch the 4" vents, and go with 2 8" darkroom vents...4" just isn't going to be enough... You probably aren't going to be able to run your light the "proper" way, dont' worry, I don't either, no biggie... other than that it looks good...IME, the fan will do way better outside the cab, sitting on top... also frees up some room for scrubber, and/or a little mother space for you...

im planning on building this setup tomorrow except i dont have the vortex and hps. i will be getting them around christmas time
