Newbie to LEDs - Can a ViparSpectra PRO Series P600 100W for e.g. be mounted vertically?

Howdy,

And I will admit, I was too lazy to search the forum first. So please forgive me if this has been answered before.

I use a 630w CMH for my 1.2 X 1.2m (sorry, no measuralo imperialo) tent.

u/Rocket Soul brought me to the idea of supplementing it with LED to start getting my feet wet with the tech (never used one and I understand why they have overtaken the market but I do have solar so energy efficiency is not a factor for me as an example).

Anyhow, I was looking at the ViparSpectra P600 100W as stated in the title because it is relatively small (for a 60 x 60 cm [or however many jawbones² that is - 0.6 x 0.6m if that helps] area), relatively "light" at 1.95 kg (about 0.00195 yo mamas?) and most enticingly I can get at a very low price :)

Was wondering if I could "hang" or somehow mount 2 or ideally 4 of them bitches in each corner of my growtent (homelab masterra... can I even say that? has it been long enough?).

The idea being that LEDs can ideally supplement the 3100k CMH bulbs and I am a strong believer in light from the side but never got around to testing it.

Anyway, can they be mounted the way I intend to? And how would you go about it? Cable ties on the vertical corner bar and done? Maybe a rope to one of the horizontal ceiling bars to aleviate the weight/hold it in place?
Any alternative suggestions for something similarly small but "powerful enough" and able to supplement the CMH from above? (Mind you, am Europoor so don't have as many good retailers as y'all)
Is this one from ViparSpectra maybe already too large or the wrong kind of thing to look at overall? I honestly just picked one of the recommended brands from the other thread that seemed small/light enough and available at a good price.

Cheers and thanks for the feedback

Those Viparspectra models have a bend metal piece for each side and you can mount it vertically by just attaching one string on one a side instead of both sides.

I got a XS1000 to replace the T5s for mother/clones and it's a good light, not too much heat and heavy on the blue spectrum for compact growth. The P series looked like their cheapest option when i checked, with a light spectrum that put me off. There was no real price difference.

Adding a vertical light will definitely give you great results, did it for a long time with one 8U ESL on top and one on the side.

There are some threads on here with led strips from top to bottom of the plant and they look great.
