Newbie...Superskunk from sensi, a little guidance would be kick ass

Heres the situation, I started twenty superskunk seeds from sensi, I did a pretty good job staging them with the top cut and have done descent through flower. Sixteen survived and nine ended up being broads. I am currently at day 43 into flowering and i have no glass scope to see the trichomes, so I was curious if there were any other tips that could help me tell when to pick the bitches. Here a few pics these are from day 29-33 of flowering, not the best pics, but it was a buddies camera, so i only got to play with it for awhile

You have to have 2 post to post pictures. I am right along with you day 42 for me and its my first time growing and I also have no scope to look at the trichs although I have been using my camera lens backwards and I can get in pretty close other than that I think once there hair is about 80% red/brown you should be pretty close. ok first off
Dont even concern yourself with the hairs, they mean nothing, it is the trics you want to go by. You do not need a scope to see them, they are the little mushroom thingys on your buds.. If you watch your plants the way any of us do, you will know, the trics will turn amber, you will be able to see that difference with your naked eye.

Anyways do not plan on cropping until about week 8 at the earliest, any earlier you wasted everything you have grown so far.

So Dr. Dog your saying if i were to pick early it would be a waste? I just had a recent problem occur, like my landlord is sending an electrician to the house on monday next week, so if i were to cut, (which makes things easier to hide) that would be a catastrophic thing at around day 49? Just curious because i'm leaning towards that being my safest bet, but not sure if i'm willing to sacrifice my crop, thanks ya

basically dude you will have some weak ass bud, that wont get you high.

I just cut down a SS plant, not more than 5 mins ago, 9 weeks it was in.

You need to have it go as long as possible.

That is my Superskunk at 8 weeks

I say it's better to be safe than sorry. The electrician is coming monday you say? Cut it down Sunday if you want. SS at day 47 will most certainly get you high. I have grown it many times. It may not be as potent as if you cut it at week 8 or 9, but it will definitely do the trick. Good luck.

also, lets say i dont chop em down sunday, the problem at the house is were blowing breakers and so are our neighbors, we live in a duplex. It's not due to the light i'm pretty sure the house is just a disaster as far as maintenance done to the place, so lets say i kept the light off an extra 2-6 hours, what effect would that have on my babies?

nope wont affect them at all, just do not give them more than 12 hours light, an extra few hours of darkness will be just fine
