I'm 25 days into flowering and i'm starting to notice that almost all of the larger fan leaves are dying off. It starts with strange discolored spots and eventually the whole leaf turns yellow then looks like the leaf rusts.

Temps 70-82ish humidity 25%-35%. i'm using no name powdered nutes 33-11-11 and 12-50-6 for bloom. I'm using these nutes between 1/4 and 1/2 strength since they are so hot. They've also had one dose of molassas.

I attached some pics of the problem leaves.

Any ideas?

they seem to be at the bottom under the canopy, the fan leaves will die off naturally from lack for light, i wouldn't worry until it starts to affect the the rest of the plant. is everything else looking ok?

yeah thats what i was thinking at first b/c all of the affected leaves were at the bottom of the plant but tonight i found a couple of leaves that are in direct light they are starting to show the same discolorations.

here are some other pics of the plants, what do you think?

Thanks

It's normal...you're not feeding it N, it's getting it where it can. It's like a fat guy burning his own fat on a diet. The nute makers know this...follow the directions...maybe a little less.

I've read and seen pics of the fan leaves turning yellowing and dying during flowering due to the lack of N.

I don't think this is the case with my plants tho...here is another pic of one of the fan leaves that was in direct light, this is how it starts then the whole leave turns yellow, "rusts", curls up and dies. I'm only 25ish days into flowering so i'm thinking there is something else going on with my plants.

Anyone know? this is my first grow and i'd hate to lose my babies when they are this close to being finished.

They're beautiful plants. I think that it wouldn't hurt to give them a bit of N. But I'd hesitate at 25 days in. Maybe I would. Maybe just up the nutes a little. They look good, and don't have tip burn from overnuteing, so maybe just up the nutes and see if it stops it.

i feel like hazy does. once they get into flowering too deep, adding N does very little. if you had a time machine, you could go back and increase your N during the first 14-21 days of flowering, you would not have the same issue.

and I would also say that you are correct about your diagnosis as well. there are likely other nutrient issues that are not perfectly in-line, but your trouble (if you can call it that because I bet your buds will be great) begins with the N

good growings
