Hi guys. I was told by someone I should go to New Zealand for one month, So I guess I'm planning a trip to New Zealand for 1 month. I'm hoping I can get some good bud while I'm there to fuel my adventure. Any advice relating to where the smoke is, what to avoid.... appreciate any info, thanks

There's a hook up forum there. Just make a few posts and explain your situation. If you're good about it you'll be looked after.

That or just go to the daktory in auckland :D

Down south christchurch is your best bet.. but there's weed everywhere if you're willing to be open about it to people.

when i was there in 2000 and spent a month on the south island, i found herb in every town i tried... sometimes it took a lil while though... best herb i got was the first stuff i bought at the very start of my trip from a cook in a restaurant i had lunch at in christchurch... i had just asked my server if he knew where to find any... came back an hour later... think it cost less than $200... an oz of nice heady weed... went and bought a lil bong at a lil head shop right down the street from the restaurant... downtown christchurch... near a big plaza/square type thing... nz is very herb friendly (or at least was 9 years ago)... i was told all the weed on the south island is grown up in the northern part... nelson, motueka, etc... was easy to find there but what i got was kind of like beasters... but mind you this is all relatively cheap and far better than say the herb you would find traveling around central america... but just like always they most important thing is who you know/meet... smoked with some locals in queenstown and ended up crashin at their pad for a few days... they were all about 'spots' (pronounced 'spotes' lol)... knife hits... of weed... interesting, they had it down to a science lol... i think they were just kinda broke... i was very young at the time and they were right around my age... everyone sells their weed there in tin foil too... everytime, it was hilarious... but yeah, go to bars, hostels, whatever, look for locals or traveling stoners... if they can tell you're a foreigner they're not gonna be too sketched by you looking for a lil herb... ok i'm done rambling, enjoy your trip - the south island is amazing, go everywhere!

i wanna add that i would highly advise you to rent a car and cruise the south island... when i was there there was no highway patrol enforcing speed limits on the highway, so you can just haul ass on these amazing, fun roads, smokin a spliff and mashin your japanese turbo-charged import while you cruise on the wrong side of the road (that take a lil gettin used to)... all you needed was a valid us drivers license... god that was a fun trip... make sure you do plenty of camping/backpacking, or trekkin as the locals call it... aw its sweet as, mate! lol

NZ and parts of OZ would be great to visit especially if one had, say, three months to look about, spend time in the right places, relax and make some friends, get high ... The fun part for me is exploring different cultures and checking out the people. OZ and NZ sure to be very different from the US. Long flight to get there! IT's a 24+ hour flight from my part of the US.

The left-hand traffic can be very disorienting to a newcomer, especially in a large city - I was nearly run over in London a couple of times. Looking in the wrong direction before crossing the street. Driving the highways, out of the cities, shouldn't be so bad - just don't drift over to the right lane! Old habits die hard.
all you needed was a valid us drivers license.
That's good to know.

One of these days I'll make it to OZ, and will stay there long enough to see and do much more than "Sydney, Rock and Reef" :D
