New to soiless mediums

By this I mean no hydroponically. I have a already have the hang of hydro, now I am going in a slightly different directions.

Any advice will be helpful

Using rockwool and plan to do at least 3 transplants to final bucket size.
Q; What should I know about rockwool or point me at a good article.

Haven't done seeds in a while (clones).
Q: If I start my seeds in starter plugs, can I then transplant them to the rockwool cubes? Also for water I am just using bubble water with a drop of thrive alive b-1 (the red bottle) is that ok?

I've read that I should be around 6.1-6.2 Ph for rockwool? Is this right as for the ppm I am guessing that I just adjust from the nute bottle scales.

Other than that hints and more hints are welcomed and appreciated!

start in rapid rooters or similar and then drop in the hole of rockwool just go easy on roots. no nutes for a while they wont grow for shit for the first month or so and then they take off so just be prepared. i just popped seeds for the first time in a couple years and it was literally like watching the grass grow lol. it sucks, be patient. get some good hydro nutes. let me rephrase that. get what you can afford, they are all pretty similar. if you want easy, got with advanced nutes sensi a and b 2 part. cheap and works pretty well. dont get hung up on all the additives. you dont truly need them and they just complicate things for newbs. with sensi 2 paRT your ph will be damn near perfect every time, thats one of the reasons i reccomend it.

i think 5.8-6.2 is the sweet spot. after a couple weeks with the sensi i quit checking ph. it was NEVER off for me but always double check.

from my understanding about RW, it needs to be flushed on a semi regular basis. water quality is very important as hard water makes this worse

It's my understanding that cubes promote downward growth while slabs promote sideways growth. Start in Rockwool starters, place in cubes, place cubes on slab.

While I have never pre-treated rockwool, HempAlchemist is correct about it needing to be flushed regularly. Salts will build up on the cube surface. When that occurred, I'd scrape off the salts and top feed plain pHed water for a few days.
