whats the most you have grown in a small area.. with as many lights as you had?

I have a 9x9 area.. to use for flower.. how can I hang 4 1000s.. without drilling holes in the ceiling ? and without using anything that will offgas

I know you said no holes but those metal twist in anchors work great and hold 50# each. I helped a buddy fix the holes he had put up for drying lines and it took twenty minutes of including retexture to fix the holes.

It beats the hell out of how I used to hang lights and such. At least my buddy from Florida showed up out here with one good idea.

ya I just need a cheap easy way to block sound honestly.. or a inline fan that is quite but powerful.

9x9x6.5 but heres the deal.. right.. I have a big room like 30x10. but.. I cannot use it all. I can use maybe 10x10 also.. so ill have maybe a 10x10x6.5 and a 9x9x6.5 if I setup in the basement..

if I setup in the spare bedrooms.. ill have the same size rooms but with 8 foot ceilings.. but.. if I do in spare bedrooms.. you will be able to hear the inline fans inside.. and more then likely. outside the house.. and that's a NONO. unless I can figure out something to do .

if budget allows then an oversized boxed acoustic fan and fit acoustic ducting to it and that would sort you out,,
other then that just some acoustic ducting and not forgetting your fan speed controller which can help loads with noise,,,,

thing is.. the basement ceiling in the area I want to use has these old ass tiles.. like proly 8inch by 8inch.. I tried to take a razor and loosen 1 to see if I could just take a few down. and use the beams to hang my hoods.. but they don't come up unless you take them ALL DOWN.. if it was sheetrock id just cut wat I need and redo it before I leave.

its like.. this I didn't plan on growing at all. I have a 150w hps I bought for myself a while back I was going to set that up ina lil closet and that's it just grow 1 plant for myself.. but then a friend offered me clones.. and he upgraded to gavitas so he was like dude take my 1000s.. ill give u ballasts for 50$ each with new caps and ignitors for them.. I couldn't turn it down.. lol

so now im in a house that I didn't plan on growing in . or else I would of picked a better house to grow in lol.

and cooling 4 1000s in air cooled hoods shouldn't be a problem..

especially because by flower it will be getting cooler out . and the basement stays at 65-70 even when its 100 degrees outside.. with a dehumidifier going right now its at 72.. outside is 92.

basically going to just make a wooden tent frame type thing more then likely.. unless I just say fuck it and tare down the tiles.. and put up sheetrock. and when the landlord says anything ill just be like woops I forgot to ask or tell you. but its like .. the tiles are old and shitty anyways so I bet they would be happier with a nice new ceiling lol

and also. the landlord told me that if you don't turn the heat on in the basement it will get to outside temps in the winter.. its by no means a nice house. or even a properly insulated hosue..

I have 3800w flower and 600w veg in a small 10x10 room with closet

I use a 4x8 tent (2000w) , 4x4 tent (600w) , 3x7 closet (1200w) , 3x3 veg tent (400w) 2x2 clone tent (100w) seedling shelf (100w)

enough extra room for shelving unit, ballasts, nutes, extra pots behind door, shop vac, ect...

or get a 8x8 tent. build it in room obviously haha... I've actually made that mistake before

the clones I got were GG#4.. and Bubba Kush.. already in domes..

and yesterday a friend of a friend from like an hour away offered to sell me some SFV OG.. some Chem 91.

ok.. my clones are starting to put out roots.. heres the dilemma now.. lol SOIL.. Rockwool . or COCO.. ive mainly grown in soil before.. but ive grown in coco also.. never done anything but clone in rockwool..

basically I need the biggest yields.. and fastest growth.. so coco looks to be the correct way to go here.. lol

can anyone recommend the right nutes? or should I just use canna coco A and B. lol.

One option is to use All-Thread (threaded rod 1/2" wide or bigger) and some 2x4's (or similar) to make a frame that will hold your lights ... survive earthquakes ... etc.

All-thread comes in pieces 12 inches, 24 inches, 36 inches, and 72 inches. It's sort of like a full-size Erector set - you can buy "rod extenders" in case you need to add some length.

i think im just going to do 1 light coco. 1 light soil until i figure out if im going to stay coco or soil.. im just not sure. ill know more wen i get to the hydro store and buy the shit lol

well im doing a soil grow first.. happy frog mixed with ocean forest.. using fox farms grow big for veg.. not sure what ill do for flower yet.. might try canna bio flores for flower this round.. I liked the bud my buddy grows with it.. so I might try it out..

you could put a grow tent up. im using a 1 square meter tent (4'x4') but you could squeeze a pair of 4'x8's wit a space to walk between. thats what id do.

oh and i like 600 watters per square meter. less energy use. id use 2 600 watt lights in each tent. if you want more light 3 600s is more effective light spread than 2 1ks and you still come in less power consumption and heat.

i use canna coco ab set right now, ive gotta say i noticed a change right away with my plants when i changed from gh flora to ab set... canna is obviously good stuff...

the canna coco a and b . were just very easy.. 1 part.. don't need to use anything else. and just grow..

but I use TAP.. I might need to switch to RO tho. because the tap were I live has a decent amount of calcium.. so . another reason canna coco is good lol. have 2 kinds.. soft water and hard water lol
