New to Hydro: I think nute burn...

I'm thinking it is nute burn, but I would like a second opinion before I take action. Also this is my first attempt at hydro, so please let me know how to correct this. I'm assuming I would just cut my feeding schedule to half of the dose I am using now.

Current nutrients:
(Measurements per gallon)
BC Boost - 3 tsp (15 mL)
BC Bloom - 3 tsp (15 mL)
Awesome Blossoms - 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL)
Thrive Alive B1 Red - 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL)
MagiCal - 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL)
SugarDaddy - 2 1/2 tsp ( 12.5 mL)
Hygrozyme - 1.5 tsp (7.5 mL)

thanks for the help and, as always, take it eassy.

hiya,

while I'm not an expert, I would agree it appears to be nute burn on the tips, and possible lockout judging from the actual color of the leaves. Best bet in hydro is to flush your system with RO water and restart your feeding schedule at a lower dose. The earlier you flush the better, and flushing will never hurt anything so you might as well do it.

Good luck to you!

Well I agree that SOMETHING is going on......some sort of burning but it doesn't look classic as far as nuteburn; usually nutebrn fries the tips on the newer growth and also usually turns down the leaf edges.

Can you fill out the troubleshooting form in Stitch's sick plant thread; it's much easier than going back and forth one question at a time. Plus you'll get much better and accurate info to help diagnose the plants if you do.

Think you answered your own question with the above answers.
Nute burn.
Your ph is fine. 5.8 is and has always been my target ph.
Your ppms are high. You need to drop back to around 980(ec 1.4)(my preferred) to 1120ppm(ec 1.6) on the high side. I never run the White Widow or Chem D above 1120 and do my best not to run them that high..
Drop the Hygrozyme and Thrive Alive in bloom. Cut back on the Boost and Bloom too. Mix a gallon of nute mix up and determine how much it takes to get your ppms into the range I just gave you. Will help you grow go a lot smoother.
With hydro nutes, less is more.

Thank you for all of the help. I began flushing the medium with RO water earlier today. The plants quickly perked up. Still only 3 leaves show severe signs of the nute burn, so luckily damage was minimal. Tomorrow I will resume feeding with new lower ppm solution. Hopefully all goes well!

I'd do 800 ppm, monitor the new leaf growth, when it gets light green, then bump it up slightly. The plants are very resiliant and these things are part of hydro. Each strain you grow will have it's own requirements with hydro and you'll have to 'dial it in'. This is why I'm trying organic this time around... i hope I wont have any of these issues.
