Hello all, thinking about trying coco, I am a soil grower and decent at it
But soil pisses me off because I want to control exactly what nutrients are in my medium, and control the pH, and for me that is hard in soil
Anyways...
I'll be hand watering every day or every other
I would germinate my seeds in soil by putting the seed directly in the soil medium and keeping it moist, they'd sprout in 3-5 days and begin growing. Can I do this in coco? Just fill a plastic cup with coco and place the seed directly in the coco and keep it moist?
I wanted to use Advanced Nutrients Monkey Juice, After reading their description they say that in coco, improper nutrient levels can cause lockout of certain nutrients... so does this meaning using additives like AN SensiCal and AN Big Bud would be a bad idea?
How much perlite would you suggest for hand watering? I was thinking 60% coco, 40% perlite, or a 70/30.
Thanks everyone, coco looks like a great way for a beginner like me to enter the world of hydro . I can start slow by hand watering my coco, kind of like soil - only more often. Then maybe after a couple runs I can get a real hydro setup? hmmm, sounds fun
