If these are powerful enough to detect heat off our lights through walls,then this could be a troubling development for those of us growing indoors in risky states/countries etc...

Even if these are not strong enough yet,they will be soon enough I'll bet.

This is actually pretty damn cool technology. Would be great for contractors to find heat loss in buildings.

smart folks will use one and check their setups...I had to borrow one the times I needed to check..yeehaw don't make it easy on anyone..a friend had a window and insulation co and had several units..they used to be big and expensive...

I am told by a fellow member of another forum,that these don't work like that.They read surface heat,and the difference needs to be 20 degrees different or more,and it can't read through walls.

.....better aware than incarcerated tho.
