the states former GOP house speaker (Larry Householder) and the former Ohio GOP chairman (Matt Borges) have set the bar high for those following in their footsteps. the illustrious pair were indicted after an investigation into what is being called the "largest corruption case in Ohio history." had a company illegally help them keep office, then put the fix in on a bill to benefit that corporation. $60 million dollar grab, that's 50,041,701 GBP for those across the pond in jolly old England. or, 4,363,499,640 russian rubles.

The politicians have been stealing in Ohio for 100 years. We had all that manufacturing going on. Goodyear alone had 60,000 employees in the rubber shops.... all giving about 15 bux a week to the unions..... who bribed the politicians.... and on and on and on. There was more than enough for everyone to steal their share. LOL

Unfortunately, all the money done run out of that area and there's just not enough left for everyone to steal from. So, someone has to be the fall guy.

I lived about 5 miles from downtown in Merriman Hills where all the rich people lived. And, even from there you could smell the rubber factories making tires. The air would be thick with the smell of rubber, even that far away. Giant smokestacks billowing clouds of smoke in the rubber shops downtown.

I remember asking my Dad about the smell and he said..... "That's the smell of money being made". And, that was no shit. Back in the day, Goodyear, Firestone, Goodrich, and Siberling were all giant rubber companies making tires for all the cars being made up the street in Detroit.

Wherever you find the bulk of money..... you'll find the bulk of corruption. LOL

Damn..... the good old days. LOL
