Hey guys and gals. Not new to growing but have done all my previous indoor and out in soil. Sick of dealing with the dirt inside so im converting my room to Hydro.
I dont know much about the dro so im thinking simple is the way to go for starters.....Ebb & Flo is what im pretty much set on. Most likely clones in pots with hydrotone. Want to keep plant #'s between 8 and 12...prob screen them. More than likely a Mandala strain (Hashberry or Sadhu)
The only equipment i have to begin with is a 1k Sunsystem, bulb, and apropriate ballast. Also stanly blower, lots of people have them. Theres a tutorial on how to mod them i believe.
Plan on the room being sealed. Sheetrocked
Room dimensions and discription as follows:
it is shaped like a boot and i will describe it as so
14ft long wall - Sole of the boot
5ft up the back side which is also the width of the room
11ft long wall - this would be where you stick your foot in
2ft 6in of laces perpendicular to the 14ft wall
3ft ging out towards the toe
2ft 6 in connecting to the 14ft wall to make the toe.
I hope you guys get that...i dont know how to draw a pic on this thing. I tried and it got f*ked up
**After thought......Keep it simple stupid!! its a 5ft x 11ft room with 7ft celings
so the room is kinda narrow at 5 ft wide. I was thinking i would like to use the smaller section (toe) for whatever scrubber/storage i need in the room.
I want to air cool my 1k so ducting and inline fan will be a must b/c i am not planning on using ac.
so given the above info, I would like suggestions on:
1. What kinda fan am i going to need to air cool this 1k of mine. im thining of drawing air from the 5ft wall into the left side of the 1k and the vent into the roof of the room.
2. given room dimensions, what size carbon scrubber and apropriate fan am i going to need to keep the room circulating fresh air and eliminating smell. ( holes can be cut to accomodate outside the room air to get in. I would like suggestions on size of the intake hole based on the size of the fan your recomending. Passive intake)
3. what size table do you recomend? i was origanally going with 4x8 but there wont be enough room to walk around the room. so whats the next standard size down? Can you find something 3ft wide at home depot?
4. corisponding res size to the table
5. Pump?
6. Humidity issues? i ask bc i have never run into this problem.
