the purple comes from the eventual dropping of temp near the time of harvest, or the drop in temp in the night time for the budding plants.

A good area to stay above is 55 deg F. if you go much colder, it may slow the budding process but you may see more purple.

We grow in michigan where it does get quite cold for any harvest, but the plants seem to be used to it over the long summer.

Most varieties tend to turn a shade of purple in the north if the correct strain, eventually in the budding process. It may just be the buds though.

Purple is also a good camaflouge in the wild when guerilla tactics are on. They look like completely different plants, except for the usual 60% reflection rate on the leaves and that the plants emit warmth in the night, which can be picked up on infrared helicopter devices.

good luck

I have been searching for info on this strain also.
I did find some info on "purple power". It was in the strain guide on og.
I couldn't find any info on Nirvana "new purple power"
It must be a new strain from Nirvana? So I doubt there will be much info yet.
Anyway, I ordered the new purple power, swazi, and pure power plant for a outdoor grows this spring.

I did not have good results growing it outdoors in New England. Monster plants but they were real late finishing Oct 15-Oct 30. The buds did not mature by the time the weather turned bad.
